Treat yourself to a fabulous getaway in North Portland, located two blocks away from the stunning Peninsula Park Rose Gardens and Fountain, and blocks away from the Historic N Mississippi area. This vibrant historic area is bustling with boutiques, coffee shops, music venues, outdoor cafes, and great energy. Located close in, you can easily forget the car and walk, or take public transportation, which is easily accessible. Come discover a city filled with phenomenal restaurants, farmers markets, outdoor craft markets, live music, theatre, performing arts and so much more. With so much to see, you'll be planning your next trip before you leave. It happens all the time!

This modern, contemporary home was built five years ago and features an open main floor layout, conducive to entertaining, with the added benefit of a private office on the main floor, as well a half bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances and even things like a crock pot. We provide white on white plates and more , with 18 of each, so you don’t need to run dishes after each meal! The gas pebble fireplace makes for a cozy retreat on cold winters days, nestled between the two living couches. Alternatively, in the summer heat, we have central air conditioning throughout the house.
All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor. The master ensuite is huge and has a luxurious king sized bed and tv. The bathroom hosts a double sink and extra large tiled shower. The closet is larger than some peoples bedrooms! I wish I had one of those! The other two bedrooms have queen and full sized beds, and share a full bathroom. The fully equipped laundry room is also located on this level, which also holds additional linens and towels.
Per city code, a full time resident resides on the ground level of the property, allowing this to be legal vaction rental, and as such is permitted through the city of Portland. There is no access between the full time residents unit and the main house.
Please note that this is a no smoking and no pet property. Violation of either will result in a $500.00 fine. In addition, in order to maintain the beauty of this home, we ask that you not wear shoes in our home. We provide slippers at the front entry, but feel free to bring your own.
As a side note, we just installed a smart doorbell at the front door. We also have an ADT security system, which is active when we do not have guests.

Please note that we are taking every precaution possible to make sure that you have a “safe stay “ with us. You will find hand sanitizer, wipes, at the entry of our property. In addition, we exercise the use of through anti bacterial cleaners throughout the house.

Summary: Wonderful place to stay in Portland. The house was a great size with enough space to spend time together but still be able to have alone time. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Everywhere we wanted to go was very easily accessible. Parking seems to be a bit of a nightmare in Portland so having the garage made life so much easier, especially for those of us who haven’t parallel parked in many years. The house was clean and the hosts were great. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Portland.

Summary: The home is situated in a great neighborhood. The house is large, bright and airy. Very clean! Any item you think you may need is offered. Even toys, pack n play & high chair. The bedrooms have comfy beds and large closets. Nice laundry room area. Kitchen is spacious and great for cooking for a family. Supplies are plentiful. The garage access is wonderful as well. We stayed for our daughters wedding at Victorian Belle Mansion and it was a perfect distance away. We would definately wish to stay again!

Summary: We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the N. Mississippi District. The House was very well furnished with plenty of space. It is across from the Community College, but on a very quiet street. I really appreciated being able to park my car in the garage as well. There is a tenant in the basement as required by law but you would never even know it since there is a completely separate entrance. We even went to the Breakfast spot suggested in the hand-written notes for the House and it was excellent! ***I wanted to specifically point-out the excellent communication with Lill. First we were able to get an earlier check-in than expected. Then after check-out, Lill let us know that we had left some of our IDs behind (which could have been a real problem!). We were able to arrange a same day pickup, which definitely saved our vacation (and probably my marriage!). Thanks so much!

Summary: This is a beautiful property. It was perfect for our group of 4 adults and two kids. Well equipped, comfortable rooms. If I had to pick something to improve, I would ask that the guest manual be typed instead of handwritten on graph paper. :-D. Not a huge deal, but we all had trouble reading much of it. Thanks for sharing your pretty house.
