Considering the central location of this little gem, it is amazingly peaceful. There is a long driveway that takes you up to the cottage, nestled in trees, with a lovely view across the valley from the balcony, the deck, or the little fenced yard.
Being in downtown Ashland, it is across the street from the Cabaret Theater and a block from Lithia Park, three Oregon Shakespeare Theaters & the Green Show, the downtown movie theater, shops, restaurants, and a comprehensive hike & bike trail system. Southern Oregon University is also just a few blocks away with more art venues to enjoy. Ashland is nestled between 3 mountain ranges also, so there is plenty to explore, including the fruit orchards, lavender farms, and wineries in the valley. After skiing on Mt. Ashland, it is a great place to come back to relax with the fireplace and soaking tub.

Summary: We would certainly stay at this carriage house again!Everything exceeded our expectations.It is beautifully designed and decorated as well as very comfortable. From the decks, we could admire the gardens around the house and enjoy the view in the distance.Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

Summary: We stayed for just one night and were delighted with the close proximity to OSF shops and restaurants. The stairs were easily managed with a handrail and non-slip mats, however we minimized our luggage needs. The sleeping and kitchen area are attractive and cozy. There is a small balcony too. The bath area is gorgeous and made a wonderful place to relax after our travels.

Summary: Everything about this place is amazing! It is close to downtown Ashland (restaurants, shopping, Shakespeare plays.). It's just a short walk to Lithia Park. The place itself has everything you need . . . and it is so quiet for sleeping! We just loved it!

Summary: Nice and clean. Very quiet. A block or so from all of the most desirable restaurants and venues. Owner was very responsive to our few requests. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: My husband and I could not have been any happier to have stayed at Kathy's paradise! She was an incredibly responsive host and when we walked into this quaint little slice of heaven, it was just what we needed after hours of driving. The bed was very comfortable and I even took a bath in the beautful tub with heated floors in the bathroom! We wish we could have stayed longer and while traveling with two small dogs (one is my older service dog and the other is in training), she made us feel very welcomed, which is not always the case unfortunately. We will most certainly be back and can't wait to make this our bi-annual stop off between our Oregon and California homes. Thank you Kathy!!

Summary: Clean, close to downtown, stylish, functional and it's a room with a view. Wonderful place. Only negatives were it took us a long time to find the WiFi password and never did figure out the heat. A bit better signage would help. That said, I'd return to this place in a heartbeat.
