This modern 3 bed 2 bathroom holiday lodge is sited on a tasteful small development within the hamlet of Soar. Situated above Soar Mill Cove it has uninterrupted views of NT land and a view to the sea. Soar Mill Cove is a 15-20 min walk with its un spoilt beach surrounded by Cliffs & Rock Pools. There are stunning coastal and country walks with easy access to hidden beaches and coves. Salcombe & Hope Cove are within 3 miles via cliff top walks. There is a large diversity of wild life including Buzzards, Kestrels, Gannets and the occasional Red Deer. Hope Cove, Malborough and Bantham have excellent pubs / restaurants. Salcombe is a centre for sailing, fishing, Scuba diving and shopping. From Salcombe there are foot passenger ferries across the estuary to South Sands and to Kingsbridge. South Hams also includes the towns of: Totnes, Modbury, and Dartmouth which are well worth a visit. The area also boasts 2 Heritage Steam Railways and 3 Golf Clubs.

Summary: We arrived to a sparkling clean and well equipped lodge and a bottle of wine was waiting for us. The beds were so comfortable and the site well kept and quiet and everyone seemed to respect everyone’s privacy. We walked our socks off from East Soar and Bolberry both nearby with good parking and absolute fantastic trails along the coastal path. Loved all the beaches that were nearby. We ate at some fine pubs and restaurants nearby in Salcombe and Hope Cove. Check in and communication with owner was excellent with a very helpful folder with information regarding the local area. I do not hesitate in recommending this lovely lodge in a beautiful part of South Devon.

Summary: Wonderful large lodge ideal for our family. Most relaxing time ever. The lodge had everything we needed, Beds were very comfortable with lovely soft linen and the site was remote and quiet but slightly out of season which suited us, can’t imagine getting too noisy though as good space and double glazed. Parking very good. Nice Soar Mill Cove hotel a short walk away for quality meals and spa facility. Soar mill cove is lovely for a private cool dip. We took advantage of Mike’s taxi to get us back from a beautiful coastal walk to Salcombe but missed out on Overbecks garden visit as closed on Friday and Saturday but will go back. Walk to Hope cove was also beautiful. In all could not fault anything lovely lodge. Would recommend.

Summary: The property was in a lovely quiet position but did feel the shop should have been open whilst people were on site because of its location. When we arrived the sofa still had some sand on, there are cobwebs in bedroom windows and some kitchen utensils were not too clean. We really enjoyed our stay and felt totally relaxed whilst there. Would recommend.
