LIVING and DINING The cottage has a large open-plan living / dining area, with a well-equipped designer kitchen by Mark Wilkinson and family dining table. The cottage is fitted to a very high standard, finished with Italian tiled floors, beautiful rugs, furnishings and decorations – an ideal cottage for families and friends to share. There is also a separate cloakroom / laundry room with wash basin, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer.
BEDROOMS and BATHROOMS There are three spacious bedrooms, two located on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The first ground floor bedroom has a double bed and a single profiling bed. It has an en-suite bath and shower with a large wash basin with wheelchair accessibility, and large illuminated mirror. The wet-room shower area has seating and a fold-down grab rail for less able guests and stylish grab rails strategically placed around the toilet and bath. We also have toilet seat risers and shower chairs, if required. The second is a family room with one double bed and one single bed, and a large en-suite with a wet-room type shower area. A staircase from the lounge area leads up to an additional twin bedroom on the first floor that is bright and spacious. There is also a bathroom, with bath, basin and toilet.
GARDEN Outdoor space is provided by a private rear garden, with bbq, garden furniture and woodland views. To the front of the cottage is a fire pit, with views across Wyre and the Fylde Coast.

Summary: 7 of us stayed in mole end for my hen weekend. We had an amazing time, we did get a little lost trying to find the place so be careful when driving but once we got there my my my, it was beautiful, the cottage was well supplied, clean, warm and was extremely accessible for myself as a full time wheelchair user.

Summary: We're just back from another fabulous stay at Barnacre Cottages. We stay in a Mole End Cottage. It's a great spacious cottage and perfectly equipped for someone with accessibility needs. Ground floor bedrooms, wet room and lots of well placed rails and bars to support mobility. The cottage are very well equipped with lots of kitchen utensils, crockery etc, no need to bring anything. The family team at the cottage are always available to address your needs and resolve any issues, although we didn't have any at all. I must also recommend the view. You can see all the way to Blackpool on a clear day and the tower looks fabulous at night. We'll be back again and is highly recommend to anyone, especially if you have accessibility needs.

Summary: We have just returned from our third stay at Barnacre cottages, and always love staying here. The accommodation is excellent and always very clean, and there’s plenty of green space for the kids to play. We always enjoy relaxing by the fire pit area in the evenings, and the location in the Lancashire countryside is perfect.

Summary: From start to finish our stay at Mole End, Barnacre Cottages was simply wonderful. With an 18 month old and 4 month old it was our first holiday away as a family and to begin with I was apprehensive. But our every need was met and more, the cottage was a perfect fit for our family with lots of space for playing and easy cleaning, children beds and plates/cutlery provided. It was like home from home. I could not recommend them highly enough and will definitely be making a return visit.

Summary: I booked 4 of the 5 cottages at Barnacre for my family. Mole End was perfect for a member of our family with a disability. Comfortable, beautiful views in a quiet location. It has a really special feel to it, everything from the fitted kitchen, the beautiful warm Aga, to the comfortable sofas was absolutely perfect. Cleanliness and decor of the highest quality. I have stayed in many places and very few match the quality of Mole End. Host Beth couldn’t be more helpful or quick to respond to my questions. Summary: This was are 2nd time staying @ mole end cottage excellent for disabled holidays really comfortable & clean. We found having the washing machine & tumble dryer really helpful . Would highly recommend this cottage

Summary: What an amazing place, it came highly recommended and certainly didn't disappoint. Plenty of places for the children to run around - the tennis court even got a look in. So many books - bedtime stories were easy and the war books kept the fellahs entertained! Never cooked on an Aga before but it was easy enough and would imagine in winter it will keep the lounge cosy and warm too! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend-thank you!
