3 Bedroom Villa in Laglio

Villa Castiglioni is the original name of this fantastic HISTORIC villa which was built by a famous Italian architect E. Sommaruga in 1900.Now beautifully restored this architectural pearl stands over 3 floors on top a hill overlooking the Lake Como. Villa Castiglioni is located between Villa D'Este five stars resort and Villa Oleandra owned by a Hollywood star George Clooney.
The rental property occupies the whole upper ground floor( 220 sqmt), and a garden level floor( 76 sqmt).
It is very private as the quests enter from the private garden overlooking the lake with fantastic panoramic views of Lake Como and surrounding hills.
The other two apartments in the villa have the entrance from the back yard and use the elevator .There are second homes, used mainly during the weekends.
The rented LUXURY UPPER GROUND LEVEL APARTMENT( 220 sqmt) has 2 bedrooms( queen size bed in the master bed room )+ 2 twin beds which CAN BE JOINED together, extra long beds), 2 spacious and lavish bath rooms, one with a hot tube Teuco and the second one with a power shower Teuco,80sqmt living- dining room , and a fully equipped kitchen. There 2 more sofas in the living room. The whole property is air conditioned except the second bedroom which has a direct access to the terrace and is equipped with a last generation fan.
All the windows and french doors are equipped with the electric shutters to assure to our quests a good night' sleep.
In the GROUND LEVEL APARTMENT ( 76 sqmt) you will also find a third bedroom with 2 twin beds that CAN NOT BE JOINED together , spaciuos and with a natural light third bath room , wellness room with TECNOGYM equipment,laundry /drying /ironing facilities. This apartment is also airconditioned.
This smaller apartment is cozy and comfortable but not as luxuries as the main one.
Black out curtains are just perfect for a goodnight's sleep.
The Interior design of this property was made by a renowned studio of Milan.
The outdoor features a panoramic terrace for outdoor dining with a crystal table for 8, a private garden with a hot tube for 4, HEATED BY SUN ,sun beds and umbrella. During the hot summer months the temperature in the jet tube is no less than 30-35 degrees C.
The whole property has a private access from a manicured garden facing the Lake Como.
Wi-Fi, satellite TV with Netflix ,ON SITE PARKING FOR 1 CAR are also available at no additional charge. The villa is located on top a hill with spectacular panoramic views on Lake Como and surrounding hills. The distance from Como is 15 km, from Milan- 65 km, from Lugano( Switzerland) - 45km.In the area there are a lot of very good restaurants , bars and shops. THE CLOSEST RESTAURANT OSTERIA 20 IS IN 5 MIN WALKING FROM THE VILLA. Tennis courts and golf corse are located in a short distance, a ferry dock and a bus stop are also at a walking distance from the property. The villa seats on top a hill in 100 mt from the lake shore . The closest public beach is at a walking distance. Also there are pedestrian paths with breathtaking panoramic views, just in front of the gate of the villa.

Summary: Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!

Summary: We recently enjoyed a stay at Villa Castiglioni. The property more than exceeded our expectations! The location is wonderful, the property beautiful and the views amazing. Ekaterina was extremely helpful in helping us navigate our way to the location and also responsive whenever we had any issues during the stay. I would highly recommend this Villa if you are looking for a five star experience while in the Como area.

Summary: My three adult children, my son-in-law, and my husband and I stayed in this magical villa in late September/early October. We were greeted by Ekaterina, who gave us a thorough tour of her beautiful property. She also was so helpful in arranging a driver to meet us at the train station in Milan as well as a driver to take us to the airport on the day we left. She also arranged for us the most amazing private boat tour of Lake Como. Additionally, she stocked the refrigerator with groceries we requested, and she helped us make dinner reservations at nearby restaurants. She truly went above and beyond. The villa with something out of a movie. It has been perfectly restored to its original glory, and the view of the lake from the living room and the two bedrooms was breathtaking. The bathrooms are lovely, the villa is spacious, and there are air conditioners in most of the rooms for when the temperatures were warmer outside. The villa is set in a quiet neighborhood, and the only problem we had was finding a convenient place to eat dinner because the neighborhood restaurant that is five minutes away had closed early for the season. We were able to find restaurants which required us to walk about 20 minutes both ways, but we needed the exercise considering all the pasta we were eating. I cannot recommend this wonderful place more highly. We would come back here in a minute. We just felt so lucky to stay here.

Summary: The beautiful Villa is perfectly located in Laglio. We enjoyed our time including fabulous dinners in Cernobbio, Laglio and Tremezzo. We loved the boat tour that Caterina arranged for us with Francesco too. Thank you for such a memorable week!

Summary: We had a wonderful experience during our stay. This is one of the most beautiful villas in the area, in fact so beautiful that you may not want to leave to do anything else! Our host was very accommodating and helpful from start to finish and provided us some wonderful recommendations throughout our visit. We especially loved the boat excursion and private chef's dinner she arranged for us! Plan to bring your food and favorite beverages and just enjoy the scenery outside from the spacious veranda overlooking the lake!

Summary: Our stay at Caterina’s house in Lake Como was truly amazing. The location is ideal, the house is even better than pictured, and the views are fabulous. The house has every amenity you could need for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, and blackout shades for sleeping. What really made our stay stand out, however, was Caterina’s hosting. She arranged dinner reservations for us, suggested places to see and things to do on the lake, got us groceries for breakfast, booked a delightful boat tour of the lake, and arranged for a truly delicious private chef one night (very possibly the best meal we had on our stay in Italy). A cleaner also came twice during our nearly week long stay which was very helpful. I could not recommend this place more highly, it has been one of our best vacation stays. If you are considering - do not hesitate, just book!!

Summary: We recently stayed at the villa for a long weekend and enjoyed it so much we extended for 2 extra days! The villa itself is bright, inviting and comfortable! The views are breathtaking and Caterina the host was a delight! She was readily available and patiently helped us learn about the area from boats to great restaurants! She is literally one of those people you feel like you have been friends for a long time! We most certainly will return!!!
