Mayar Bhan is an architect designed home built in 2005, and finished to a very high standard. The house has been simply but tastefully decorated with double glazing and underfloor heated wooden & tiled floors throughout, supplemented by a cozy wood burning stove for the winter. It is fitted with a high quality kitchen, and all 3 bedrooms have en-suite facilities. The conservatory area provides additional space for relaxation.
The house sits in a private, fully enclosed garden with decks accessed from the patio doors in the living area providing stunning views over Gruinard Bay, which can also be enjoyed from the upstairs bedroom balconies.
The accommodation includes 2 en-suite double bedrooms and 1 en-suite twin bedroom, kitchen, living area, conservatory (with dining area), WC and utility room. All the en-suites have a shower and the downstairs bedroom also has a bath. The downstairs WC and bedroom is wheelchair accessible. The utility room provides storage for coats & shoes.

Summary: Lovely stay in a very comfortable and well designed house with fantastic views down to the sea and across to Coigach. Conveniently situated for both mountains and coast, as well as gardens at Inverewe. Local shops very well stocked and friendly - no need to book a Tesco delivery from Inverness!

Summary: A fantastic, open, light, spacious holiday home for a wild (of the weather type) week in the beautiful North West coast of Scotland, where mountains literally rise from the sea. It is obvious the family who share their home with visitors love the home and location. Why wouldn’t you. They were also extremely helpful with all sorts of useful information about the area. We have stayed in homes all over Europe and this one has to be the best.
