Positive: The en-suite accommodation and pub is excellent, with the customer service being above and beyond. Due to a traffic incident on the roads, it made it very difficult for me to reach the accommodation, and I am not familiar with the area, but Kevin went above and beyond in ensuring I got there. The room is spacious, very clean, and well equipped. Thank you, Kevin, and your team.

Positive: Lovely clean and spacious room. Staff were very welcoming. Fresh milk in the fridge, for tea and coffee. Thai food in the pub attached was fantastic. We had a walk around the pretty village, and looked at all the thatched wallls...very unusual.
Negative: We were in Room 1; the kitchen fan was loud in this room; though it was turned off at 10.30pm, so probably not an issue for most people. We had had a horrible seven hour journey, instead of 4, due to roadworks, and were really tired.
Summary: Lovely clean room, great value

Positive: Great location, brilliant staff and beautifully decorated room.
Negative: Lack of air conditioning even though it’s still currently advertised at time of writing 5 days later. Tried to make up for it with an oscillating fan which was very kind but when you arrive and it’s 30 degrees, far from ideal when that was a deciding factor on choosing this place. You couldn’t turn off the towel rack either so the en suite was a furnace which compounded the problem. False advertising is a real niggle and just bad luck that patrons of the pub were smoking underneath my open windows.
Summary: As long as it’s not hot outside, go for it!

Positive: Kevin and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the Thai gastro restaurant as part of the pub is exceptional. The popularity of the restaurant does mean car parking gets a little tricky so park up before the restaurant opens!
Negative: It was slightly noisy next to the road but the windows are very good at keeping most of the noise out. If you are a light sleeper you might ask for the rooms at the back away from the road.
Summary: The village and countryside is so beautiful and the team so welcoming, I'm sure I will be back!

Positive: The room was immaculately clean Decor and furniture was of a high quality including the all important comfortable bed It was great having somewhere to prepare simple meals ( although we ordered pizza from the pub) We took our own breakfast but the tea tray had some mini packs of cereal as well as the usual tea coffee and biscuits A full size fridge kept our provisions cool and an ice box to freeze our cool pack for the next day We chose this room because it had a bath It was great to have a soak in the bath after a day of walking and the overhead shower was great too There is a small table to eat at and sofa to relax They have done a great job with fitting so much into the room
Negative: There is obviously accommodation above the room as the squeaky floor means you hear every step We weren’t too bothered about it even at 6 am as we are early risers but if you like to sleep in ,choose one of the other rooms especially as there is some road noise as well ( and someone using using deafening power tools just outside which I expect is only a temporary issue) The other rooms further to the back of the building so hopefully quieter Only a minor issue but if you’re aiming for perfection maybe a decent size bin next to the kitchenette instead of the slightly pointless linen basket would be helpful if guests are preparing meals and a hook in the bathroom door would be useful too !
