Come and experience Fayette County, West Virginia at it's very finest. The Vandalia House is located on our 300 acre farm bordering The Gauley River National Recreation Area with direct access to both the Gauley and Meadow rivers.
The Vandalia is a 3 Bedroom, 2 sleeping loft (3000 sq. ft) house. This house is stunning: designed and constructed with high end fixtures and features, no expense has been spared. The Vandalia House is a mid sized vacation rental house. It's an excellent choice for medium sized groups and families. Lots of space, private hot tub, full kitchen, canyon views and 2.5 baths.
The property boasts breathtaking views, rock cliffs, historical landmarks, a 70 foot waterfall, nature trails, rails to trails along the rivers, with endless possibilities for adventure. What makes this destination so unique is that all these vacation activities are right at your doorstep. You'll be able to arrive at the house, park the car, and just let your imagination run wild
When you do choose to climb back into the family car, The house is located within a short drive of several of West Virginia's State Parks and National Parks as well as many outdoor adventure opportunities available from the area's premier professional outfitters. We are also within a short drive of several quality golf courses.

Summary: Our 5 day stay in the Vandalia cabin was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were looking for seclusion and relaxation for our Anniversary. Well we got exactly that during our stay. We couldn’t get enough of the views from the back porch or from the picturesque hicking trails. Pervis was a great host and was super responsive to any and all of our questions. We can not wait to go back to the wild and wonderful state of West Virgina and the Vandalia cabin. Till next time.

Summary: Our group stayed in this beautiful cabin in the mid-summer 2024. Everyone enjoyed our experience very much - saying it was one of the best vacations ever. A few steps from the cabin and you are in the woods on well-marked trails. It is a bit of a drive from the main route 19. However, it is a beautiful WV setting and is a place we plan to visit again.

Summary: One of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had! This cabin is spotless and the decor and attention to detail is unmatched. The kitchen is stocked with beautiful Fiesta dinnerware. The drawers and cabinets are stuffed with every small appliance and utensil you will need. The kitchen sink is huge and beautiful. The bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The master bathroom has a huge walk-in shower that we all enjoyed. The loft with two small beds was perfect for our 12 year old granddaughter. Complete with 2 fans. She felt as special as she is. The futons in the loft were a hit with our grand sons. The views were just gorgeous and we all enjoyed the covered porch. The huge dining table was perfect for playing games, meals, and birthday celebration for our son! This property is spotless. Wooden floors were easy to sweep. The hot tub was the cleanest I’ve ever seen and we enjoyed it. Directions to the cabin were clear and check in was a breeze. Great communication with the host. We will come back.

Summary: Just a lovely property and attentive staff. We had a slight hiccup with one of the AC units and the staff arrived that hour with 2 window units. This issue was resolved within 24 hrs. Really lovely trails right on property!!!!!!!!! All the rafting and restaurants are relatively close and within 20 min drive. It is NOT crowded like smokey mountain national park. You can travel easily. It is beautiful as well!

Summary: Our extended family enjoyed a wonderful few days in this secluded mountain cabin. We enjoyed all of the wildlife we spotted and the hiking trails. The home is clean and well cared for with plenty of kitchen utensils and supplies. The fire pit and hot tub were both used and enjoyed.

Summary: This property was amazing! Great views! Plenty of cookware to cook for large families.Very inviting and cozy! Plenty of room for large families. We loved that it was secluded. When it snowed the views were even prettier. Host was amazing! We will definitely stay here again! 5 stars from us!

Summary: We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with our friends and family. The house was perfect! Quiet location to relax and unwind. Great kitchen to prepare a meal for 15 people. Minutes to all the adventure activities you could want! We had such a great time!
