Luxurious, private and secure, this gated Mountain-top Cabin is situated 13 miles from Helen and 6 miles from Hiawassee in The Chattahoochee National Forest. The amazing views of Brasstown Bald and the surrounding peaks are among the very best in GA . We have GIG-SPEED Internet + Wi-Fi plus 2) 50" & 1) 65" TV. There is Youtube TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime with Paramount, Hulu, Peacock and an Apple TV for streaming.
Our guests' safety and well-being is our first priority. In light of COVID-19 we have taken additional steps to ensure a cleaner and more comfortable stay. Our home is thoroughly cleaned with disinfecting cleaning products after each rental. Also, we are providing disinfecting cleaning products available for use during your stay.
This is a VERY secluded setting, insuring you won't have to look into someone else's windows-- and they won't be looking into yours. Yet, it is less than 10 minutes to groceries, shopping, restaurants, a hospital, and so many other attractions. Perched high at the top on a beautiful ridge, the roads are paved all the way to our front door where you'll find covered parking for one car and space for two more. The Hot Tub deck with bistro lights and the lovely screened-in porch both overlook the Hiawassee River Valley and Brasstown Bald (the highest peak in GA) so you can soak up the breathtaking views and enjoy the cool breezes! A large gas grill with 5 burners and Food Prep station lie just outside the well appointed modern kitchen and make cooking a pleasure. ALL TOP QUALITY mattresses/linens/blankets/pillows/bath towels, etc... (you get the idea). This property is Picture Perfect and situated in an ultra peaceful spot in the heart of the N GA Mountains--- just right for a three day get-a-way or a three week escape. The downstairs is perfect for kids (Grown-Ups too!) and includes a media area, a bedroom area, and a half- bath (please see "amenities" for more details).
Close to SO MANY THINGS TO DO! Go boating on Lake Chatuge, hike the Appalachian Trail, see Anna Ruby Falls, or visit Unicoi Park. Brasstown Bald is 8 miles away as the crow flies. High Shoals Falls is just 4 miles down the road. Or, see 4 states from atop Bell Mountain. There are also ongoing concerts at the GA Mountain Fair in Hiawassee. You can go fishing on the lake or fish one of the many trout streams that abound nearby. White water rafting destinations are close as well. And of course, there's shopping and sight-seeing in Helen just 13 miles down the beautiful Unicoi Parkway. Summary: Its a steep driveway at first but much easier the second time once you realize there is extra space at the top to maneuver into the carport. After that, everything is a breeze! Great floorplan, lots of space, amazing views from two balconies and lots of windows. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.

Summary: We enjoyed Melanie and Jim’s home tremendously, from the balcony’s sunset views of Brasstown Bald to the pristine cleanliness and tasteful decor. The home had everything we needed and more. The location was ideal - close enough to groceries and supplies yet secluded and private. The description was extremely accurate, and yes, the driveway is steep but not slippery (in May) even after a rain. We didn’t need the AWD at all. The drive looks more intimidating than it actually is. We were lucky enough to be there in firefly season and very much enjoyed the evening light show after amazing sunsets. This home gets five stars across the board, but only because we can’t give it a 10.

Summary: My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. Very private setting with great views. Added bonus, being able to park about 15 feet from the front door with only three steps up to the porch. Wonderful when bringing in your luggage or groceries. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Pictures really do not capture how awesome the views are from the deck and the location is very convenient. Overall, great property with excellent hosts. Keep up the good work Greene family.

Summary: If you’re looking for the perfect mountain getaway, this cabin in Hiawassee, GA, is a dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views of the mountains. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding in the hot tub under a canopy of stars at night was the definition of relaxation.The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful—immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of care into making it feel like a home away from home. Speaking of the owners, they were fantastic! Their communication was prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful, making the entire experience seamless.Beyond the cabin, the location is ideal. We loved being close to hiking trails, charming wineries, and the unique shops and restaurants in downtown Hiawassee. Whether we were exploring the area or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere at the cabin, it was an unforgettable trip.I can’t recommend this place enough—perfect for couples, friend groups, families, or anyone looking to escape to the mountains. We can’t wait to return!

Summary: The property was perfect, the location beyond gorgeous, and the hosts ensured every single little detail was attended to. This was more like staying at a five star resort than a VRBO. Summary: This property was perfect for me, my husband and our dog! Although there would be plenty of room for a family or another couple! It was very clean and the views were incredible! We loved hanging out on the screened porch and hot tub, just relaxing. It had everything we needed, from bedding/linens to kitchen pots/pans/utsensils, even a little basket of dog supplies and dog beds and blankets were provided. The bed was very comfortable, TVs were easy to use, and some board games and puzzles were provided. The location was perfect as well, easy to visit Helen, Hiawassee and surrounding hiking trails! I felt the hosts go above and beyond to keep the property well maintained and to provide for the needs of their guests. The hosts are also very responsive if you have any needs or questions. I highly recommend! Thank you!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home that is secluded yet close to good restaurants and fun activities. View is extraordinary. We loved the location and all the caring touches (helpful hints) and excellent communication with the owners. Cabin is well stocked and exceptionally clean. We only used the king bed but it was very comfortable. Driveway, while steep, was no problem at all. We would have loved to hear rain on the metal roof but who can complain about beautiful weather! Highly recommend.
