Our sunny and bright little cabin is the perfect Lovers’ Nest set on 330 acres of woods with trails and several brooks. Located 1/4 mile from our home, our cabin has been fully updated in 2019 with all the necessary comforts of a modern lifestyle. Complimentary bottle of wine and breakfast are included: Local eggs, croissants, homemade preserves, maple syrup, orange juice with coffee and tea.
4WD or AWD Highly recommended between November till April, or must have snow tires!
The first floor has an open living space with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen (pots and pans, plates and silverware, toaster, waffle maker, French Press, and breakfast basics as well as basic cooking condiments are included) and living area. The living area has a comfortable leather couch, a table with chairs and a traditional wood stove. You will love watching the sunrise while sipping coffee from the large window.
The bedroom is upstairs with a queen size bed, organic cotton bedding, feather pillows and feather comforter for the winter and a lighter cotton quilt for the summer. The bathroom is fully equipped with hand soap, towels and two terry cloth bathrobes will be waiting on your bed.
A large deck surrounds the cabin with table and chairs. There is a fire pit and barbecue from your use. Located on over 330 acres, you are welcome to explore the whole property: hike, snow shoeing, cross country ski and more!

Summary: We stayed a full month at Anne and Eric's little cabin nestled in the Vermont woods and found it to be the epitome of rustic elegance. We found Anne and Eric to be the perfect hosts... helpful and responsive (they live a quarter mile up the road) when we had a question, knowledgeable about local events and hiking trails, but not intrusive in any way. Highly recommended if you need a place on the road less traveled.

Summary: This is the most charming little cottage. Perfect size for two people. Airy, bright, clean, well-appointed. Great location just off Roxbury Gap, convenient to Warren and the Mad River Valley. Anne is welcoming and has great recommendations. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Summary: This cabin is the perfect mix of being quiet and secluded yet close enough to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities, restaurants and VT charm. Cabin was very clean and well appointed including a couple of wonderful personal touches. Anne met us to make sure everything was ok and shared some great info on local activities, markets and restaurants including a farmers market where we were able to buy fresh local produce for dinner one evening. Perfect place for a relaxing and/or romantic getaway!

Summary: Perfect tiny home/cabin. A winding dirt road leads you to a sweet spot for your stay. Surrounded by whispering winds, forest, and beautiful wildflowers, the cabin is the perfect place for peace in a tranquil atmosphere. Was a good “base camp” as we ventured out to enjoy VT. Truly ab off the grid amazing experience.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Anne and Eric's cute little cabin. The setting is beautiful- the tiny cabin is tucked away near the end of a long, private driveway (their house is further down the road but it's very private). Anne met us at the cabin to welcome us and tell us about the features and area attractions and make sure everything was all right. The cabin has so much tucked into the tiny space without feeling crowded, and is well set up for any activity. Anne left us a wonderful bottle of wine and delicious breakfast, as described in the listing. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, both inside and out. We stayed for 5 nights. Our visit coincided with the recent flooding in Vermont. Anne and Eric were great about keeping the long driveway cleared of debris and fixing washed out areas along the driveway so that we could come and go easily. Because it rained so much, we spent more time indoors but there were plenty of games and puzzles to occupy us, as well as an incredible thunderstorm with lightning display one night. On better days we also explored the area and local attractions and enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Blueberry Lake is very close and nice for a quick dip and also for easy hiking/mountain biking, and Bent Hill Brewery is nearby and wonderful to visit. It's a beautiful area. We look forward to staying at the cabin again sometime!

Summary: My partner and I had an incredible time staying in this peaceful cabin. It was a lovely way to escape the business of the city and to reconnect with nature. We were in great proximity to hiking, kayaking, and beautiful views. Anne was such a communicative host which made for an easeful experience. I definitely recommend this stay!

Summary: The property was absolutely spectacular! It was secluded and quiet but also conveniently located and comfortable. If you enjoy nature, breathtaking forests, and quiet time to think this is the perfect setting to enjoy all the Mad River Valley has to offer. Anne was a hospitable and gracious host. I would highly recommend this property!
