Between Uzes la provencale and Anduze la Cévenole, this 18th century farmhouse has just been completely renovated by a renowned architect. The house has been published in decoration magazines.
Located in the heart of an authentic village, it is the ideal starting point for discovering Nîmes, the Camargue or swimming in the Gardon river which runs through the Cévennes.
With a surface area of 325m2, it has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
On the ground floor, the large dining room (air-conditioned) and the kitchen open onto a garden where you can have lunch under the tonelle overlooking the village square. From this garden you have access to the heated swimming pool through a secure gate,
On the first floor, the recreation room (air-conditioned) is equipped with all the modern means of communication: Computer, wifi, TV, WII ... surrounding it to the west three bedrooms with mezzanine and to the east two guest rooms plus a master suite of 45m2 (air-conditioned).

3 hours of cleaning in the middle of the week are included. Pool man and gardener if necessary.

Summary: Our family spent a week in farmhouse in July 2016. There were 8 adults and 1 toddler. The house fitted our needs well - it is beautiful, made of lovely stone and painted shutters, very spacious, with wonderful communal areas, with lots of places to relax. Whilst small, the kitchen is well equipped. Particular highlights of the house include the outdoor dining area, which is lovely and covered from the sun. We spent many a long lunch/supper eating altogether outside. The pool is small-ish, but heated and sheltered from the wind. There was ample room for us all to relax. The garden at the front of the house is well kept and our toddler played outside in the mornings whilst we ate our croissants! The house is in a very small village, however it is close to other villages/towns which all have boulangeries and the local amenities. There was a supermarket about 10 minutes drive away which was very convenient. Uzes is beautiful and well worth a visit to the local market. The hosts were extremely accommodating. Whilst we encountered minor issues (such as the freezer was not working), the housekeeper rectified these almost immediately without any issues - we were very appreciative of the help and prompt assistance. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms upstairs (aside from the main bedroom). Whilst a number of fans were provided, which did help, the rooms did tend to get quite hot. This said, overall, we would definitely recommend the villa to friends and family who are looking to stay in the area.
