Positive: Beautiful Shepherd Hut in a stunning location. Great place to take dogs. Hut had everything you could wish for with lots of little treats and personal touches left by host Nicky, who also provided lots of useful information about the area.

Positive: We had a great stay! It was clear that a lot of thought went into making guests feel welcome — everything we could possibly need was at hand, which made things incredibly convenient. If anything did come up, a simple text was all it took to get a quick and friendly response. The space was comfortable and well-prepared, and the communication was excellent. Highly recommend!
Negative: The price felt a little on the higher side, but overall, the quality of the stay reflected that.

Positive: What a stunning little slice of heaven in the Derbyshire Dales. We headed here with our retired greyhound Lila in tow for some much needed recoup from the hustle and bustle of the 9to5. We were delighted to find that the area surrounding the hut was pretty much walled in the whole way around so we were able to give Lila supervised freedom which she adored. Nicky and Mark were amazing hosts, even helping us to figure out the gas BBQ and bringing their adorable dog Freddie for a little play date with ours. The location is perfect for local walks and we highly recommend the nearby Tagg Lane diary for the best ice cream we’ve possibly ever had. We didn’t eat out during our stay but saw lots of lovely pubs on the way that serve food. The amenities in the hut were top notch and we had everything we could need and more for a comfortable stay :)
Negative: Nothing, it was very well thought out & the hosts were friendly and very attentive.

Positive: Amazing location. So many personal touches in the hut by Nicky. She really ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The facilities were amazing, so much thought had been given into ensuring our stay was one to remember for life. Couldn’t fault anything, a real gem in beautiful surroundings. Will certainly be back.

Positive: Nicky has put so much care and attention into the whole process of staying at her shepherd huts right from the initial booking Nicky has been incredibly helpful. Every detail has been well thought out from the Simba mattress through to the Nespresso coffee machine, to the log burner the decoration is lovely, new and very welcoming.
