Here at the Redwood Retreat you will find a beautiful forest road leading to a stunning 23-acre property with its own serene pond and winding walking trails with nature abound. This place is perfect for those who enjoy being surrounded by the rich diversity of Northern California’s natural world including the famous Redwood forests.
Located right between San Jose and Santa Cruz and a 10 min drive on a beautiful mountain road off highway 17.
This unique studio is located in a gated property with a lush (and massive) backyard. Enjoy a walk down to the pond, our two gazebos, picnic & barbecue area. Free parking spots available for guests!
This newly remodeled apartment is quiet, clean, private. There are hardwood floors throughout the home. Sleeping area setup with queen-sized memory foam bed, dresser, chair. One full bathroom with standing shower. For all of our guests, we provide spa-grade towels. Kitchen-net stocked with all the essentials, medium sized fridge, microwave, oven, coffee maker, electric kettle and portable Induction cooktop. Kitchen includes dining table with ample seating for 2.
Additional rules
- Pets are NOT allowed. Bringing a pet without authorization forfeits your deposit and you will be asked to check-out early without a refund.
- We kindly request that there be no parties or drug use.
- Smoking and vaping is only allowed outside by the fountain.
- No swimming, boating or fishing in the pond.
- No Shoes Inside the home please!
- Only light cooking.
- No Unregistered Guest: only the specific guests are allowed on the premises. - No group gatherings other than registered guests. If you have any extra guests, we will charge you from your deposit $70 per additional guest
- Will be an additional 'linen' charge $30 for two people who use sofa beds and that guests must request the extra bed before booking.
- The spa area is available for use up to 1.5 hours for each booked night.*
We have other rental spaces on the property and want to provide privacy and security for all.

Summary: We came here on the night of our wedding, from the beginning Oleg's communication was excellent! We arrived quite late and he helped us right away to check in and get comfortable. We had a great night sleep and an excellent experience in the spa in the morning which made us feel great after a long day. We can't wait to come back to this hidden gem!

Summary: It was the second time stying in beautiful area in the middle of the wood, yet relatively close to Santa Cruz and San Jose area. Oleg and Ellada treated us like part of their family. They are excellent hosts. we felt like home and we will arrange another trip there soon. 5 starts.

Summary: This property was amazing and much more than we expected. So peaceful and beautiful. I love the great service that we had for our spa time (candles, tea, hats, etc.) Will definitely return for our "just two of us" getaway.

Summary: This place was Great! The location is incredible, hidden deep in the woods. Amazing views on the way to the house and a great backyard space with a pond + more. Also a SPA! My girlfriend and I loved our time in the Spa and would def recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway. Also the bed was really comfortable!

Summary: This property is beautiful! We loved our little getaway. There are other units on the property, but it is so quiet and peaceful. Be sure to make use of the beautiful, serene private spa, with sauna, hot tub and cold pool. Heavenly! The owner, Oleg, is so very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back!

Summary: The cottage is immaculate and appointed with all we needed. The decks by the pond are a beautiful, serene spot to have tea or read or just chill. Very peaceful, surrounded by forest. There really isn’t hiking or anything to do near the property, but a very short drive takes you to hundreds of great destinations in the Santa Cruz area. The cottage was not, as we imagined, a separate structure. It is part of a bigger compound with a few other guest apartments near the owners’ home. So it wasn’t as intimate or secluded as we imagined. But we never felt in need of more privacy. People were quiet and respectful and we barely saw them. Elena and Oleg were friendly and very responsive but respected our privacy. Thank you.
