Summary: I really enjoy the Lodge. Perfect for Self catering and they really pay attention to the little details. Home made delicious biscuits every night, setting up the fire and making sure the chalet is warm for your return. They also supply you with firewood and we were gifted an amazing bottle of wine when we left. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return

Summary: We have had an amazing stay at Lythwood Lodge, staying in a self catering unit for my birthday celebrations. What an amazing time was had by all, the unit was beautiful, clean and had everything you would need for a weekend away. The special treat was the turndown service every night making it so special walking in from dinner to warm rooms and bathrooms and a little treat on the dining table! Breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing and so well worth it. The dinner menu is changed daily and the menu has something for everyone. We will definitely be back, thank you to the Lythwood Lodge team for your amazing service, the staff all around are super friendly and so helpful making the stay all the more enjoyable. * Thank you for the birthday dessert which was a special touch!

Summary: This was a fantastic hotel with great staff, excellent food, at a brilliant price. It’s a bit off the beaten track but this adds to its charm and is in a beautiful location. Definitely need a car.

Summary: We stayed just one night with another couple, booking into a two-bedroom cottage. The room was excellent, with each bedroom having its own relatively modern en-suite. The common kitchen and lounge area was spacious and the free tea, coffee, milk and wood for the internal fire (and external braai area) were nice touches. The staff were extremely friendly and we will most definitely be back during the summer months!

Summary: Had a very relaxing stay. Hotel was great, views were beautiful, staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. We were a bit disappointed with our room though as I have a baby and couldn't bath her as there was no running cold water in the bath so had to use the basin. There was a foul smell from the shower drain every time we showered. The toilet had a permanent urine smell. And there were no fans in the scorching December heat and a lot of flies. We also had a couple of drinks put on our bill that wasn't ours but because we were in a hurry we ended up just paying for it. Other than the few disappointments everything else was great!
