Summary: Great location when youre travelling the Cabot Trail! The hosts are very kind and answer quick. Very clean, very cozy, hot tub is an added bonus and perfect way to relax after hiking. We would stay again if we are in the area.

Summary: The Mactoimin Cottage was perfect for us. We were out early every morning for hikes and back late in the day. A couple days we were back early for coffee on the porch and soaks in the hot tub. Heavenly. The best part perhaps was that we were three minutes from the sunsets on the beach! Stunning. We did not do any cooking, other than coffee. I was a wee bit surprised how close to the road we were, but there were barely any cars that went by. The owners were so kind, even when I called one night at 8:30 p.m. to report I had lost the key on one of our hikes! Very gracious. The place worked perfectly for us, and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Summary: Communication was perfect. The place was incredible. Pictures and descriptions were accurate. Pleasant Bay is gorgeous. Do not hesitate for a second to rent this wonderful place from these incredible people!

Summary: Cozy & comfortable home base just outside Cape Breton Highlands Nat'l Park. Easy & beautiful drive to anywhere you want to be around the coast & Highlands. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days hiking and exploring. The property is well maintained and Brian & Elizabeth are excellent hosts – quick to respond and very helpful. We very much appreciate their suggestions for things to see & do! Thank you Brian & Elizabeth! We had a wonderful visit and hope to return and explore more of this beautiful part of the world! 🌎😎☯️✌

Summary: Excellent communication, place was spotless! Coffee, tea, and milkers were provided which was very much appreciated. Property was well kept and hot tub was in great condition (water was heated before we arrived). Would definitely recommend.
