Positive: An absolutely charming boutique villa! This cozy place had everything we needed for a perfect stay - warm, immaculate, and thoughtfully equipped. Beautiful scenery right outside the window, and the landlord was wonderfully kind. It felt like a home away from home.

Positive: Maggys House was perfect for our trip. Such a good location with views of mountains and a waterfall from one side of the house and the ocean on the other. Very lucky to be their first guests and the house didn't disappoint. A warm, spacious house, comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen was perfect. This was our first time in Iceland and we're already planning a return trip, will definitely check to see if Maggys is available when we come back.

Negative: As it's located in one of the towns that doesn't have hot water produced by hot springs it used a traditional tank and heating system. As a group of five this did lead to some cold showers on the first evening but once we got the hang of this system and split our shower times between the morning and the evening it was not an issue. Also the shape of the shower made it tricky not to get the floor wet, an adjustment to the shower curtain and extra bath mat might help avoid others in your group getting wet socks afterwards.
