3 Bedroom Apartment in Vicenza

We have restored the old granary of the Foresteria of Villa Valmarana to the dwarfs, transforming it into a spacious attic with all the comforts. Our guests can use an apartment consisting of an open-space lounge with a suite of sofas, a large library full of titles and tourist guides, with a kitchen complete with everything you need to cook a meal at home. eat on the large dining table or on the charming counter that separates the real kitchen from the rest of the living room. The house has 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom where there are still decorative frescoes, a room with two beds that can be combined into a double and a room with three beds. Both rooms are characterized by rustic exposed beams of the attic. The main bathroom, also decorated with frescoes, has a bathtub, the secondary bathroom instead of a shower. Warm duvets and quality linens are available to guests for each room and the house is equipped with wi-fi, air conditioning, washing machine and dishwasher.
We invite our guests to a charming and unique stay in our wonderful monumental complex frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo, always inhabited by our family. Over the years we are proud to have hosted in the same guesthouse where you will stay, such as Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Goffredo Parise and Carlo Scarpa.
Included in the rent there is also the opportunity to visit the building and the guesthouse for free and admire the frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo. In the guesthouse there is also a bar where you can enjoy a coffee or an aperitif while relaxing on the terrace. The apartment is new and warm and overlooks the charming Valletta del Silenzio, just a few minutes from the center of Vicenza, on the slopes of the Berici Hills.
If you want to visit the city of Palladio par excellence, or the beautiful surrounding art cities, take a tour of the Venetian Villas or simply a walk through the enchanting Berici Hills, Villa Valmarana is an excellent starting location, also facilitated by the guides present in our library. We recommend without a doubt the famous La Rotonda villa, located a few steps from the apartment or day trips to Padua Verona and Venice (but also Bassano del Grappa and Asiago) reachable very quickly by train from the station of Vicenza which is a few minutes drive from the villa. Very close to the villa is also the evocative Borgo Berga where a convenient supermarket has been opened a few years ago and a pizzeria. For any advice on suggested visits, restaurants in the area or on our rates do not hesitate to write to us.

Summary: I first stayed here with family and friends in the year before the Pandemic. We celebrated the 65th birthday of our friend Paul in the spacious and beautifully renovated suite in the Foresteria. Paul had rented the property for us to enjoy for a week. Unfortunately, our guest of honour could not attend his own birthday party that year because of a near-fatal chemotherapy treatment. Five years later, with his health restored, he was able to celebrate his 70th birthday with us in person at the Foresteria. It was a joyous occasion--made all the more enjoyable by our magnificent surroundings. Paul, a retired architect, was very moved when he saw the Villa itself through the columned portico at the entrance. The rose garden was in full bloom, making our welcome to this magical place feel all the more delightful. The historical aura of the guest quarters is enhanced by lovely details such as painted decorations on the bedroom walls and ceilings; wonderful views of the Villa and the valley below it from the Foresteria windows; and preserved sketches dating from World War Two. Paul was deeply impressed by the convivial division of space in the suite. The bedrooms provide privacy and quiet at the back of the property. A large communal space with comfortable sofas and a well-equipped modern kitchen fills the front end. An admirer of Palladian architecture, Paul was thrilled by our proximity to the Villa Rotonda (a short walk away) and to the Palladian delights of Vicenza.

Summary: We (a group of 3 couples) spent 10 days living at Al Nani 2.It was a return trip for me & my husband. Loved the large amount of space and the full kitchen for cooking. The location is perfect. It's about a one mile walk to the historic centre of Vicenza which is lovely. A unique setting, the apartment is located over the musum. Situated on the hillside, we were convenient to many historic sites via cobblestone pathways. Vicenza and Villa Valmarana have become my favorite Italian destinations. As an additional note, Fyodor and Elena were so helpful. Will return.

During our stay amidst a heat wave, the villa's cooling system proved to be a gem, saving us from the scorching temperatures. The staff on the property was friendly and accommodating, and Google Translate came in handy for seamless communication. Celia, the responsive and exceptional host, made our experience even more enjoyable. Summary: This is a beautiful and unique property. The views are stunning. It is large and comfortable. 2 large , well equipped bathrooms. Kitchen is large and functional. Very nice cafe which has terrific coffee, lunch and views. The villa and museum are amazing and the location can't be beat.

Summary: The spacious and well-equipped and clean apartment is a joy to stay in. One feels at home immediately in a tasteful atmosphere, especially with an acompanying visit to the villa and the foresteria with its beautiful frescoes. The apartment is well equipped with all necessities, including airconditioning which is a necessity in the warmer months. The cafetteria below is nice to get a simple meal, or just coffe or a drink. Form the apartment, it’s a 15 minutes walk into the heart of beautiful and interesting Vicenza, and just 5 minutes to the Villa Rotonda. We will definitely return some day and definitely recommend the apartment for an enjoyable stay to visit Vicenza and surroundings. Our message contact to owner Cecilia was easy and quick. On site Fjodor was very helpful and kindly welcomed us after we arrived much later than we had expected.
