Cozy Log Cabin located on Lake Mayo in Roxboro, North Carolina with easy access to a functional floating dock. Great for fishing, swimming, meditating, or to just relax and enjoy nature. Can be used for a private romantic getaway or family retreat. Our cabin is located on the private side of Mayo Lake with no access to the main lake, which means you can enjoy the lake without worrying about excessive boat or jet ski traffic. If you have a boat, you will have to launch it from Mayo Lake Park (5 miles). Less than 5 miles from the events held at Mayo Lake Park.
If you like fine wine and a great environment to enjoy wine tasting, you can visit Tunnel Creek Winery approximately 5 minutes away. You just might get lucky and stumble upon a live band or DJ playing at the venue.
If you are renting during the Spring, Summer, or Fall, there are numerous events that occur at Mayo Lake Park. Mayo Lake Park offers lake access to boaters, canoeing, kayaking, an ADA accessible fishing pier, three playgrounds, a nine hole disc golf course, and eight picnic shelters. All Mayo Lake Park facilities are convenient to restrooms and are connected by nearly six miles of natural trails.
Our lakefront cabin is the place to come to relax and enjoy nature, but if you crave the nightlife, downtown Durham is approximately 40 minutes away where you can enjoy night clubs, trendy restaurants, Breweries, Durham Bulls baseball, or a concert/live theater at the DPAC. Or, if you want more nightlife adventure, downtown Raleigh is approximately 75 minutes away.

Summary: There are many vacation rental horror stories, but this is not one. The host met us upon check-in, gave us a run down on how to get in and then left. The cabin is gorgeous, well maintained, and perfect for a romantic get away.

Summary: The property is well cared for and the cabin was beautiful. Easy check in and check out process. Quiet and private. Kayak easily launched by the dock. Everything we were hoping for a weekend at the lake.

Summary: Everything was just as described. We like low key, hang at a house, fish, and play table games type places and this was perfect. Felt secluded, but town is close if you need anything and the little section of the lake was so peaceful! Fans were nice outside on the covered porch and the dock/pontoon was good for 4 people to fish off of. Only 1 1/2 hrs from Raleigh, which was a plus since family was coming up from State. GO PACK!

Summary: Amazing stay, the lake view was beautiful and the cabin was extremely spacious and clean, multiple rooms and quiet getaway. If you want a peaceful place to stay in to relax and enjoy your family and nature, please book this cabin. The host made it extremely easy to find and communicated well for sure coming back

Summary: The listing says the property has a hot tub and it definitely didn’t, it was basically a bathtub with jets , it’s called a spa , the welcome book says to mostly fill the tub with hot water this is the only way this ( Hot tub) gets hot , I did enjoy my stay but probably wouldn’t have rented it if I knew it had a spa and not a hot tub , I think the listing should be upgraded, the property was beautiful and I would stay there again if the listing was correct.

Summary: The cabin was gorgeous and our hosts were very communicative! All the infomation we needed to check in was messaged and extra information to enjoy our stay was left in a handy binder (local attractions, food, remunders, check out, etc). The dick was so peaceful and while we enjoyed swimming, we also enjoyed the quiet sunset from that spot. Beautiful home in a beautiful locale. We qill definitely be back!

Summary: Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, loved the porch, outdoor fire pit and dock on the lake. Cabin was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Look forward to coming back to Roxboro for the Bluegrass Festival next year and hope the cabin will be available.

Summary: Love coming up to Roxboro to visit the grandkids. We all love fishing and watching the stars from the dock. Everyone enjoys having a fire each night and making s’mores. The kids favorite activity was catching the fireflies! There are so many that they sparkle like Christmas lights. Always a joy coming to the cabin to spend time with the grandkids. With the pullout couch upstairs, there’s room for everyone!
