Summary: We stayed 4 nights in Grand suite- cottage contains two double beds with two separate bathrooms and living/kitchen area. It has wonderful views. Snorkelling is just 3 mins from the beach, but only in high-mid tide conditions. Reef is very nice. Staff is very friendly. Mary has organised our land tours (Lavena coastal walk and waterfalls in Bouma National park- don't miss them and take a guide for coastal walk as we got a bit lost) as we did our water-based activities previously in dive resort. Food was the best on this island- both breakfasts and the dinners cooked by Mary. We strongly recommend to use this option for a dinner. Two small things are to mention: no dark blinds/curtains in the rooms, so it is quite bright to sleep after sunrise and the tea pot and pots for cooking are huge (it would be good to have a small cooking pot). On weekend, it was a loud music from the restaurant below on the beach, but finished around 11pm. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Summary: This is a small resort, with only 4 guest cottages (which they call bures), so there's a lot of privacy. There are expansive views of the ocean, including sunsets. The staff is very friendly, with a wonderful sense of humor, and we shared a lot of laughs. Our bure was cleaned every day. The dinners in their restaurant were delicious, with generous portions. Breakfast was included every morning, and activities were arranged for us.

Summary: The positives – peaceful perch on a steep hill above calm waters and perhaps ideal for avid snorkelers and divers, a lovely staff always wearing a smile, lots of space in the villa to spread out, and awesome banana pancakes. But, based on the Expedia listing, our expectations exceeded the reality. The amenities listed for this 4-unit bed & breakfast makes it sound luxurious with 3 pools, direct access to the beach, a restaurant with international cuisine and a spa. The reality: a plunge pool about the size of an oversized bathtub adjacent to 3 of the 4 villas. The pools aren’t very private and are not fenced, so a local German Shepard mutt used ours multiple times to cool off – we didn’t. To get to the narrow strip of sandy beach, you need to walk down a steep hill, on a little road, then walk a bit along the main road to find a break in the trees or steps down to the beach, which disappears during high tide, so check your tide charts. The “restaurant” is the breakfast room and only serves dinner (one option when we were there) when Mary is available to make it, and you ask for it, and there’s no alcohol available to order with you meal. We arrived on a Saturday late afternoon, and she wasn’t cooking that night, so the only nearby options were two bar/cafes along the main road, which are close but bring a flashlight for the return, since there are no lights on the little road, nor on the property. And, BTW, there isn’t a spa either, just someone who can come to your villa for
