Light and spacious classic flat with modern touches, suitable for 2 couples sharing, or a couple with 2 children. The main bedroom and lounge boasts sweeping views of magnificent Table Mountain. Centrally located in Upper Gardens, in walking distance of the upmarket Gardens Shopping Center and MyCiti Bus. It includes secure off-street parking too. It is mountain facing, therefore it's tranquil with no traffic noise.
The block in which the flat is situated was built in the 1970s, when they still made very spacious apartments. It has teak parquet flooring throughout. This flat consists of a kitchen, a bathroom, 2 bedrooms, a lounge (which is open to the kitchen) and a glassed-in balcony. There is also a dedicated undercover off-street parking space inside the complex grounds. The block has big verdant gardens to the back and to the front, with benches under the trees, a small stream and a BBQ (braai) spot.
The kitchen is modern with engineered stone countertops and lots of cupboards which are stocked with cutlery, crockery and lots of cooking utensils. The appliances consist of a big fridge, ceramic cooking hob, a microwave/convection combination oven, kettle and toaster. Note that there is no big traditional oven. The convection oven roasts and bakes like a normal oven would. There is also no dishwasher, but there is a double sink.
The renovated modern bathroom has a shower over a small bathtub. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom. For drying laundry there is a drying rack, or one can use the washing lines down stairs in the garden.
The lounge has classic furniture with a 6 seater dining room table, which is also a good place to do some work on your laptop. The leather couch is very comfortable, but not quite long enough for an adult to sleep on. There is also a breakfast counter with high chairs.
The main bedroom is furnished with French style classic furniture. The bed is an extra length queen size bed, so tall people can sleep more comfortably. It has an interleading door to the glassed in balcony. You can wake up and take in the magnificent view of Table Mountain from your bed.
The second bedroom has a queen size standard length bed and 2 cupboards.
The glassed-in balcony has an old school couch facing the mountain, from which you can enjoy watching the sun go down over Lion's Head.
In order to accommodate families with babies, we have a camping cot (pack-and-play), baby feeding chair (high chair), and a baby bath. We also have a single blow-up floor mattress to accommodate a fifth person. Please note that all these facilities are available on request only, since they are not stored on the premises. If you would like to avail yourself of these, please let us know upon booking. Please also note that our property is by no means child-proof, but we do welcome families who are ok with that.

Summary: We had a wonderful experience staying at Babett’s apartment. The area is one of the safest in Cape Town. The apartment is just great. The two rooms and the living room are very spacious, well designed and carefully decorated,and the views from the apartment really amazing. Babett couldn’t have been more helpful with everything we asked her for. Great experience. Thanks again.

Summary: Very conveniently situated close to the Gardens Shopping Centre, museums, the Castle and loads of great restaurants. Amazing views of the mountain from a very well fitted, clean, fully equipped and spacious apartment. The MyCiti bus terminal just across the road is another great thing about this apartment giving you easy access to many interesting areas of the city and various beaches. If you want to just relax, there is a great garden area at the apartment block or just a short stroll away is the Company's Garden which has a lot to see. I would highly recommend this apartment for its convenient location, easy access to transport and the overall spaciousness which is a big plus. Will definitely visit again.

Summary: Staying here made our South African experience absolutely wonderful! It had everything I needed e.g. baby cot, washing machine, fast wifi and a big TV! The kids loved running around in the massive green gardens while we had a BBQ. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay- clean and secure. Safe parking was great- I don't want to herd the little ones in the street! Will definitely come again!

Summary: This is our accommodation of choice when we are more than 2 people in Cape Town. Been here many times, but always come back to it! We love the proximity to everything that we need. We love the light, and most particularly the view of the Mountain! We love gathering around the large dinner table and staring at the view! Believe me, it can't be beaten!

Summary: We could not have wished for a better place to stay. It was exactly as described and so much more! The apartment is really taken care of, and the owners clearly love the space, and it shows! They were very responsive to our questions, and were very knowledgeable about Cape Town, and we took their suggestions on restaurants, and they were great! We have stayed in Cape Town before, but have never had this huge space for this price! We can definitely recommend it!

Summary: We arrived to a lovely clean and well maintained flat. All the appliances worked and the views of Table Mountain were lovely. We found the proximity to Gardens Center, which is full of convenient shops and restaurants to be a great help. The bus stop is right outside the front door which helped us navigate the city with ease. Cape Town is full of beautiful beaches and majestic mountains. We had the opportunity to take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, highlight of our trip. Loved it, we'll be back in summer to swim and try the world class wine route!

Summary: We loved our stay at this apartment. It really had everything we could wish for! Even though we used the parking bay on the premises, we walked everywhere, as it was safe & central. The Gardens Shopping Center is in the block next door, for shopping and banking (money exchanging). The MyCiti Bus station is also accross the road & since parking is a problem in down-town Cape Town, we used the bus rather than our car. We took the bus, even to the beach! The gardens of the complex is lush and green and we even had a BBQ there with the view of Table Mountain. The apartment itself is large, with a feeling of spaciousness. We were 2 couples sharing and were never in each other's way. There are plenty of spaces to sit down and do some work on the laptop on. The Wifi internet is lightning fast, so it was a pleasure to work on. Streaming movies from the internet on the TV was also a nice touch. Oh, and we liked the original South African art on the walls! We'll definitely be back when we come to Cape Town again!
