Positive: Such a lovely homestay. The family are so kind and make delicious meals upon request and great breakfasts too. The room is spacious and clean and it’s nice to have your own area outside the room too with a balcony and a table/kitchen area. Great for exploring the ancient city.

Negative: The location is maybe a little far out but a 10-15 minute tuk tuk on pick me will get you there quick enough.

Positive: We spent two nights at this charming homestay and felt genuinely welcomed by Yethmi and her parents. The authentic home-cooked breakfasts and traditional dinners (freshly prepared for an extra fee) were delicious. The rooms are very clean and spacious: bedroom with two double comfy beds, separate living area, bathroom and balconies. Everything you need is provided - filtered water, fan, AC, mosquito net, great pressure shower and hot water (for an extra small daily fee). The location is peacefully tucked away in green surroundings, far from the tourist bustle. If you want authentic Sri Lankan hospitality, this is the place.

Negative: We left with absolutely nothing but positive memories.

Positive: We had rented a tuk tuk for a week so location was never an issue. The family are amazing and the mother is an excellent cook of traditional food. We ate dinner for 2 nights and the food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was the same. The room was spacious and spotless. Highly recommend staying. Thank you again.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this homestay with a truly lovely family. Their hospitality was exceptional—they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home throughout our visit. The house itself was clean, spacious, and newly renovated, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was perfect for us: in a nice and peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle, which made it an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious—fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. On our second night, after we had dinner in town, the family even surprised us with a homemade dessert, which was incredibly kind and tasted amazing. This was honestly one of our best accommodations in Sri Lanka, and we’re very grateful for the experience. Highly recommended!
