Positive: We loved the privacy and the beach , town and restaurant distance, staff hospitality and all the private beach space , facilities are cleaned daily with morning breakfast call on time of your preference

Negative: Everything was wonderful but the food options and making could be better , please do know that they did tell us they are not professional chef and food is available by walking distance at Majilis which is honestly a minor issue for us anyways. Oh and bring your mosquito spray as by night it gets a bit annoying.

Summary: Amazing stay , would highly recommend !

Negative: Drainage issues were sadly not resolved during our stay nor was the water supply.

Summary: Shela and Lamu are a must for any tourist - just magical.

Positive: It was a tranquil heaven, beachfront and so peaceful - what more to ask! Plus the staff was attentive and always with a smile, and the food was beautiful.

Negative: Mosquitos! But it’s the tropics so it’s something to be tolerated for all else.

Positive: We had a magical week at Mangrove House. It’s simple but perfect, and in an absolutely ideal location. Breakfast was always delicious, and Nyevu and Harrison were so helpful and gracious. We would recommend Mangrove House to anyone looking for a unique, private, gorgeous place in Lamu.

Positive: The locations is a gem. Away from the HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF LAMU. There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

Positive: A truly fantastic location right on the beach, with beautiful massive baobab trees in the garden. The house is very basic, a bit like camping. It's very lovely, but a bit overpriced for what it is - the Manda Bay premium. Advice: it is cheaper and better to eat at one of the nearby resorts, than at the house.
