Positive: The location is ideal. The hosts are very helpful and caring, offering suggestions of things to do, as well as helping with bookings of excursions. The food, if you choose to eat there is 5-star quality.

Negative: Some might not like that the bungalows are a little more rustic, but that is actually what draws me in.

Summary: This was my second stay at Manomano lodge, and if I return to Tahiti again, this is where I will always stay if possible

Positive: The location is very good. It was in a quiet residential neighborhood, no roosters during our stay. The hosts are another joy. They are helpful and knowledgeable, having lived there for many years. We had our own snorkeling gear, however there is a large stash for those guests without. It is quite easy to snorkel right off the beach. There are also a variety of human powered water craft for use as well. It is hot in Tahiti in their summer. We were there for 10 days and it was over 30 for all of them. There are many chairs and deck loungers at the beach as well as shade trees to put them under. There was always a breeze at the beach so it was comfortable there during the heat of the day. We were in the 2 bedroom house. It is quite open, we left the doors and windows open as well. There was never an issue with mosquitoes or other flying bugs. The kitchen and porch are useable during the day, the bedrooms are too hot. The bedrooms do cool down nicely in the evening and are comfortable with the supplied fans. Most of the other guests during our stay were locals. This property will allow you to experience Tahiti somewhat similar to living there, as opposed to Living in a tourist bubble. Livina is an excellent cook. We recommend booking dinner there at least once Breakfast is coffee and bread with home made jam. It is fresh and good. Additional breakfast items are available as well should you want them. Although well off the highway, Mano Mano is very easy to find with signs all the way once leaving the highway.

Negative: We were a bit surprised to find that our house did not have air conditioning, perhaps my misunderstanding when booking as there are some units with air conditioning. However, this did not deter our experience or joy at staying there.

Positive: Alexy and Lovina were very nice. They seem to be passionate about what they do and try to make your stay as perfect as possible. We appreciate they recommended us a morning snorkel at their beach and gave us some equipment and advise for it.

Positive: Great spot for snorkelling and swimming, the strong current close to shore make for good training sessions, but might be a problem for young children.

Negative: Breakfast is minimal, half a baguette and banana jam! As ever, French coffee is to be missed.

Positive: Beautiful location - just at the beach with a beautiful reef for snorkeling - one of the best I've seen around French Polynesia, even better than some around Tuamotus. Otherwise a nice chill atmosphere with a nice common area and beachfront. Free fins for snorkeling. Also a wide variety of rental gear for surfing or SUPing.

Negative: The included breakfast was very basic (bread, butter and jam + a hot drink), so for anything else you have to pay extra.

Positive: What an amazing place! I booked our stay based on a recommendation from a friend and it was even better than she described! The rooms are comfortable and there are delicious meals available on request. The location is spectacular. The reef out front is healthy and beautiful and the snorkeling was the best we had in Tahiti. There are great restaurants nearby and a good surf break nearby. Alexy has all kinds of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boards available for rent. I would stay here again in a minute and can't wait to come back!

Positive: Everything was excellent. The owner welcomed us in a very warm and friendly manner, was always available, and provided us with every possible service. Additionally, we had dinner with him and his wife, which was an excellent experience. The food was of outstanding quality, all organic and fresh. The service was top-notch. The house was cozy, clean, and equipped with every amenity. He assisted us until the very end in an outstanding way. Highly recommended!
