Summary: Old house, nicely done and from pictures we knew it has old deco, but unfortunately the old house and deco came with a smell as well. The house needs a desperate good deep clean and refreshing of paint in most areas. Great swimming pool, but much farther from the house than expected. The description should be more accurate. We had a small pet with us and we were told on arrival that the dog is not allowed upstairs to avoid damaging the floor boards. The host is really nice and welcoming, but I suggest that any particular rules should be made clear in the description, so that travellers are aware of these before booking.

Summary: We've stayed with 8 friends in the house and had a really great time. The only room for improvement would be that the upper floor is getting really hot during summer, even with Sylvies cooling instruction, but I guess you can't avoid that during summer in France. Another point is that we had some really large spiders and centipede in the house, but I guess that's normal on the countryside as well. Especially since it's recommended to open the windows during the night for that cooling effect. Maybe a mosquito net in front of the windows could help. But as I already said we had a great time at Sylvies and those are just very small points for improvement. The amazing pool makes up ten time for it. And it should be said, that Sylvies house is right next to it. So it is not completely solitary.

Summary: Lovely setting, well equipped house, especially for us with baby and toddler. The only let down was the weather! We still managed to use the pool. Pool setting is excellent.

Summary: Lovelly, old house in a large estate, with the owners property next door. About 10m from the local village. Superb 15m pool and surrounding area, great host, superb for wildlife, super relaxing.

Summary: Property brilliant. Pool magnificent. Lovely village within a 15 minute walk. Super restaurant and tabac. Everything you need really. Great place for visiting Carcassonne etc. Owner discreet, very welcoming and a nice bottle in the fridge for our arrival.

Summary: Lovely setup, very clean clean, good outdoor sitting areas, great pool. Only downsides we’re the mosquitoes and non existent Wi-Fi. Local village 3 mins drive which had local supermarket, patisserie and great little bar and plat du jour menu - simple but tasty.

Summary: We had trouble connecting with Sylvie upon our arrival....if you are from the states, ensure your phones will work! We did not understand that we needed to meet her at a specific time in the village at a tourism office. (The GPS doesn't match with the location and she needs to meet guests then take to the house.) The house is beautiful, roomy, we'll appointed, and everything we could want or imagine as our home-base for daily adventures to the Pyranees, the Sea, vineyards or historic sights. We loved it and Sylvie is so gracious!

Summary: Walks to the pastry place every morning. Cocktails watching the sun go down every night poolside. The scent of the countryside everywhere. Property is spectacular. Accommodations very comfortable. Kitchen was great as we cooked every night. Definitely would do this again.

Summary: A really lovely house adjacent to the owners country house in a picturesque part of the region - within easy reach of Carcassonne and all the local activities. Sylvie was incredibly helpful and this historic stable block is very comfortable and well appointed eg there are fans in every room. The pool is huge and you have it to yourself. Filou, the elderly Labrador, makes himself at home and gives the place a real family feel. A great base from which to explore the area and a pretty little village only a few mins away to get the morning bread. Supermarket very close by at Bram and airport only 5 mins away. Highly recommended. We were five adults but can sleep 8 comfortably.

Summary: The pool was amazing, large and plenty of natural shade most of the day with two parasols provided too. Not for diving but deep enough for us. This really made the property for us. Montréal is a lovely village with good baker and restaurant or two and a beautiful church. Really close to Carcassonne airport and about 15 mins drive into C town centre and 20 mins to Mirepoix (not to be missed is market early Monday mornings). We found it convenient at Domaine and very secluded and quiet. Well appointed kitchen and a good gas BBQ meant we ate in a lot with lovely local foods and supermarkets. Casti restaurant in mirepoix main square does a great sharing steak platter of 1kg grilled cote de boeuf. 2 of these fed 6 of us. Really tasty. Only 2 loos but 4 showers and two baths. Water very hot so enough to go around. Lots of bedroom furniture and beds were comfy but sofas a little dated and a bit uncomfortable but adequate. Huge kitchen dining table and two outside areas to dine. We ate outside several times and were visited by old Filou the dog who was very friendly. Overall a lovely farmhouse setting and plenty of space. Sylvie was very helpful and had good English. Any little issues we had in the property were immediately attended to. The only real gripes are the limited WiFi - it was there but you had to stand by the router to get on and it was weak at times and did t retain the password. We managed though. But don’t bring your laptop and work to Domaine de Toureille. You’re here to enjoy yourself. We had fans in all bedrooms but with no AC it is stuffy at night. Overall though we had a lovely stay and would recommend the area and the property.
