Summary: Bathtub had water in it. Hairdryer didn't work. Refrigerator didn't work. Ceiling was peeling in the bathroom. Elevator didn't work. Breakfast wasn't offered. The owner was nice and the bed was comfortable. We didn't see the railroad tracks but the train whistle sounded like it was outside there door every couple of hours. I won't return there

Summary: Fantastic location!!! Walk to EVERYTHING downtown. Next to train tracks, you will hear every train. I like that and don’t wake for the night trains! You? Room newly but simple and basic reno, except not the bathroom yet. Room was spotless and functional and big. New owners are fantastic, but fixing up what had been a dilapidated hotel takes time and money so if you’re needing perfection stay elsewhere (& pay accordingly!). If you want an imperfect work in progress place to stay for a really good price with great management doing their best with the resources they have, stay here! In brief: quiet except the trains; fantastic location; great value for $$; functional and clean; bathroom in desperate need of paint, but everything works, including hot water; good management; raise issues and they’ll be resolved, if you don’t speak up, they’re too busy to imagine your problems and you won’t get them fixed. It’s a huge but worthwhile project, but the staff are humans, not Apollo…😁

Summary: Friendly staff. Excellent price. Excellent location. Loud trains every 1-2hrs about a block away. Only 4 channels offered on TV. Relatively nice otherwise.

Summary: The property is a little rundown, but you can see that they’re doing a lot of renovating. It’s close to the commuter trains, which make a lot of noise, but the staff was great and helpful. Would definitely recommend for people wanting to stay downtown for a decent rate.

Summary: The owner and staff are very kind and attentive. The owner informed us that they bought the building last year (2024) and have been slowly renovating it. The building still has a long way to go though.

Summary: General housekeeping was subpar. The present owners are making good efforts. There are no on-site dining options. The property is close to the Amtrak tracks and is definitely not sound-proof. Guest clothes washing facilities were out of order.
