Summary: This is a lovely place in a convenient location, and we enjoyed our stay! The highs: The decor is charming and simple, the kitchen had every single thing we would need on this trip, and there was lots of space in the home to spread out when we needed to. There were only two of us, but I used the downstairs when I had to work or be on a call, and we primarily used the upstairs as our sleeping and living quarters. The lows: One of the reasons why we chose the upstairs to sleep in was because the HVAC system doesn't deliver a consistent temperature throughout the house. Despite the hosts efforts to re-route more cold air upstairs, by closing vents and such, the higher level was at times a bit too warm for sleeping, and the lower area was an ice box. We tried to adjust the thermostat, but it seemed to bounce back to a default. Another low were the small things that need some repair attention, like laminate floor boards that were separated or loose (I tripped more than once), an outside door handle that heats up to about 150 degrees in the sun making it tough to open and close the door without covering your hand with something, and a door frame that has widened due to foundation separation which meant that the door lock didn't feel as secure, as only a small portion of the bolt engages in the lock. This isn't a huge deal for me, but was a HUGE deal for my husband who is very attentive to potential safety issues (e.g. he was freaked out when we first got into the house and discovered that the sliding door to the backyard was unlocked; easy to remedy, but activated his worry center!). One small thing: All of the windows have a super-cheapo set of blinds that don't do much to block any light, so if you need it to be dark while you sleep you may want to choose the lower level, as it got a smidge darker than the upstairs. All in all, this was a great stay. The place was very clean, it was easy to get to all the places we were visiting, and it was quiet during our stay. We ended up at this listing somewhat last minute after being scammed by another property; we would gladly choose this location again.

Summary: Everything was clean, worked well, and was comfortable. My husband came home and wanted to purchase a mattress like this house had. Only negative was there was only 1 towel per person, and these ladies need 2 towels for a shower ;-)

Summary: Easy check-in and out Big, spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchen. Doors in basement wouldn’t shut easily. Floor needs to be repaired in basement room/laundry room. The outside/yard could have more “curb appeal.” Overall, nice property.
