Marge’s place is a 1940’s home with all the updates we love. It will surprise you how spacious this home feels as you walk through the floor plan. For those that have a harder time with stairs, the queen bedroom is on the main floor next to the main bathroom. Up a short flight of stairs is the king bedroom, complete with spacious closet, vanity, and full length mirror. Just off the king room is a finished attic space. This area is perfect for kids to be close to parents, but still have their own area. There are low angled ceilings in this space.
The full kitchen has all the amenities needed to prepare your game day breakfast. The rear living space offers more dining options as well as a smart tv and fold out couch.
You are welcome to enjoy the backyard for games and conversation areas. Basement offers half bath, laundry, and workout space.

Summary: Our family rented this property for a game day weekend in Iowa city. Our son is a student at U of I, and we wanted to spend some time with him. This property offered us everything we could ask for a fantastic weekend hanging out with family and friends. The home has a lot of living space and a large backyard for hanging out with your family and friends. It was a 20 minute walk to the stadium to cheer on the Hawkeyes. The host was prompt with her response whenever we had questions, and she had a folder with local dining options on the table. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Summary: Nice location, only about a 1 mile walk to Kinnick. There also is a good restaurant right across the street and plenty of other restaurants, groceries, etc... within easy driving distance. Public rooms in house are not big, but a surprising amount of space in the bedrooms. Owner also found something someone in our group left and worked to return it to us, which was very nice.

Summary: 5 adults stayed, 3 stoped by for dinner(s). It worked! The back patio and free-standing fire pit were great for evening gathering, the sunny front room for morning coffee. Conveniently located!

Summary: Great property and despite being near HW 1 it was completely quiet. Loved the shower and appreciated the water heater keeping up with 4 people showering. We would stay again.

Summary: Marge’s Place is a bungalow on a quiet residential street of small homes that are similar in size. The decor looks brand new, and has an IKEA vibe. There is a light colored wall to wall carpet. On the first level there is a small living room with fireplace, a kitchen , a bathroom and a bedroom with a queen bed. Several steps up is another bedroom. Behind one of the doors are a few steps to a loft like area. A few steps down from the kitchen is a pleasant sunroom that has a table a couch and a tv. There’s a patio in the fenced in large backyard with some seating. The house is just 1 lot away from a multi lane road with major stores, but it was quiet and we weren’t bothered by cars at all. It would be great for a family. We needed a car to get around, but the University was not far away. It worked well for us.
