Positive: The location was fine, lots of amenities such as delicious local food, beauty parlours and the pharmacy just a 2 min walk away. Cabs are whizzing by every minute, and currently just 200 xof a ride, so getting to the market or any other area is quite easy (particularly if you speak a bit of French! 🤭) It is clean and secure, well equipped (stove, fridge/freezer, washing machine and bathroom x 2) , and the host is readily available to assist with any issues.

Negative: There were a few issues, related to power supply and water. I understand these are not exclusive to the residence, but rather a local issue.

Summary: I feel I made the best choice by renting this lovely suite in Grand-Bassam.

Positive: The property was well appointed. Extremely clean and included everything needed for a comfortable stay. The mattresses on the bed were brilliant - I am thinking of replacing my own to the same standard. Communication was excellent and the compound is extremely safe.
