Positive: The location was great. It was roomy. The owner responded to messages quickly and was willing to fix issues immediately.
Negative: There was a lot of damage to the property that I don’t think the owner even knew about. The pier has warped boards so be careful! There was old food in drawers, used razors and toothbrushes in random places. There was dog hair everywhere (I’m Allergic). It seemed the cleaning crew wasn’t able to properly clean the place between guests and wasn’t reporting issues to management so they could fix them. I let owner know what needed fixed so it’s possible all these issues have been handled by now.

Positive: ☆We liked the Mariners Cove Cottage overall. It's definitely a kid-friendly & pet-friendly property!! It has 4 rooms that do the job and have very comfy beds. My favorite spot in the house was the polkadot chair! There was some accessories in the kitchen to eat & cook with. The host provided the bare essentials. We purchased a grill and left it for the house while we visited. Omg, there's a huge dock out back! Balconies on all the rooms upstairs! And a small adorable beach just to the right of the property that was perfect for our toddler. ☆If you asked me if the house served it's purpose? Most definitely. ☆Did we have a blast with many memories made? Most definitely. ☆what was the best part? Idk. Either getting tattooed at Rocksteady Tattoos or riding the pay your way scooters!! Loved it 😁
Negative: ☆My Mama told me if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all. Everything and everyone has it's ups and downs. For the price, I kinda expected a TV that worked, as well as, tv's in the bedrooms. (At least the master) and for the sake of truthfulness... they need some repairs done on their dining chairs. ☆If I have the entire stay a rating, 1 to 10, (10 being the best!!!) We all chose a 7 for the house and the owners hospitality!

Positive: The gorgeous house was perfectly situated close to the main highway where you can exit off and easy to find. The house just begs you to come in and was felt very inviting. Although we did not meet the host himself, he let us know that he's only an email or call away as he live next door. The house was huge and plenty of room. Each room had a fantastic view of the water - particularly upstairs bedrooms and had bathroom towels placed in each room. The house had 3 huge bathrooms with travel soap and shampoo provided by the host. Private dock was a HUGE plus as we enjoyed every minute of it doing fishing or crabbing or both and we CAUGHT A BUNCH!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone or to any family who's looking for a great getaway place to stay in Norfolk for a vacation.
Negative: We just wish that it had a small firepit to relax during at night or sit around somewhere in the open yard next to the house - I think that would've been a perfect set-up. Other than that, we can't think of anything else that we didn't like about this place. Our experience was near perfect!
