Consisting of two stylish apartments, sharing an external front door, a communal hallway and separate front doors, Marsh Lodge is ideal for two couples or family members wishing to spend time together whilst having space and privacy.
Each apartment has been furnished to the very highest standard, consisting of well-equipped kitchens, open plan seating / dining areas (seating up to four in each apartment), and elegant and spacious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
Whilst attached to the owner’s home, Marsh Lodge very much sits in its own space. Guests have access to the large area of lawn to the front of the house with seating and designated parking beyond the cart lodge. The views from both properties are spectacular - overlooking the glorious and unspoilt marshlands of the River Alde.

One, well behaved dog is welcome (small additional charge). Please be aware, the owners have their own dogs.

Guests have access to the large area of lawn to the front of the house with table and chairs for outside dining. The views from both properties are spectacular - overlooking the glorious and unspoilt marshlands of the River Alde, however the garden on this side is private.

Summary: Marsh Lodge is the perfect place to stay to explore the Suffolk coastline. The Lodge is really well equipped and has everything you need to make it a home from home. The sunsets over the marsh land/river are fantastic! We traveled with my husbands family and Philip, our dog so having the two self contained apartments was absolutely ideal and felt really private. It is ever so slightly out of town so for those who want to visit the pubs in Aldeburgh be sure to source a taxi before hand as they are pretty sparse and Uber is not an option. Over all fabulous place to stay, exceptional clean - especially considering dogs are allowed downstairs and I would most definitely recommended a visit.

Summary: It’s great to stay in a holiday rental where the environment has been cared for. Clean, well decorated, nice linen and of course the river views.

Summary: A wonderful location with easy access to lovely walks on the marshland. Comfortable and well equipped with good facilities, like the Friday Street farm shop nearby.

Summary: This was our second stay at Marsh Lodge (River View last time on our own - this time we were in Marsh View and our friends were in River View). It is an excellent place to stay, both in terms of position and comfort.
