This rental is a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath house with a deck, where you can enjoy the fresh island air. A porch swing on the ground level provides another quiet spot to rest and relax.
The living space is on the top floor with a walk-out basement. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a queen-sized bed and a private full-size bathroom. The other two rooms include full-size beds. If you have more than 6 guests, the comfy couch opens up to a queen-sized bed to accommodate two more people. There is a quiet sitting area in the basement for anyone who needs their own space. There are extra mattresses if you want to spread out your guests.
Towels and linens are provided unless otherwise directed. We have a cooler and beach chairs available if you want to take them to Philbin Beach, which is 2 miles away, Moshup Beach, Menemsha or Lobsterville Beach.
Located in Aquinnah, this rental allows you to find peace of mind and tranquility day and night. During your stay, you may want to visit the Gay Head Light House and take a tour or grab lunch and shop for a souvenir at the cliffs. Don't forget to visit the Aquinnah Cultural Center as well. Be sure to catch a sunset at any of the surrounding beaches. It makes for some stunning photo opportunities.
Friendly, house-trained pets are welcome. Please be sure to clean up after pets and keep them on our property as not to disturb the neighbors.
At the end of the day, kick back and relax by the fire pit and don't forget the chocolate for your smores. We also have some outdoor games readily available in the basement. If you enjoy staying indoors on a rainy day, feel free to play ping pong in the basement.

Summary: My family had an incredible time staying at this house. My two kids (ages 3 and 1.5) loved looking for frogs in the pond and my dog loved running around the large yard. During the day, we went to the beach right down the road and at night, we went out to dinner in a nearby town or ate at home and made s’mores by the fire. I highly recommend if you want to have a perfect vacation.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Silva property. It was the perfect R&R we all needed. The backyard is private yet close to the beach, lighthouse, and fun things to do in chilmark. It was also perfect for our black lab who enjoyed playing fetch on the lawn and relaxing by the hammock. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Summary: We’ve been coming every summer to stay on the vineyard for years, and this was our fav rental. Plenty of space for the family, clean, had everything we needed. The yard was soo peaceful and beautifully manicured, and the little pond in the yard was fun to check out some frogs, turtles, & dragonflies. I would definitely recommend!

Summary: My family just returned from a fabulous trip to Aquinnah for the 4th of the July and this property was absolutely fantastic! We quickly fell in love with the home and property as soon as we got there. Honestly, the pictures of the listing did not do it justice. The rooms are much bigger than they look in the pictures. Also, each room has very large closets which made it easy to store our luggage. The house was extremely clean and they had lots of supplies too. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our nights by the fire pit or out on the covered porch. The kids had a blast looking for frogs in the pond or running around the secluded yard. The property really is a perfect little oasis for families with young kids. We like staying on this side of the island so we can quickly get to Menemsha for sunsets even though we spend most of our days out on Chappy. We had never actually stayed in Aquinnah before and I have to say it is my new favorite. Doing the drive every day back and forth to the house was just so beautiful! On top of how fabulous the house was, the owners were really amazing too. They were very responsive and extremely helpful to answer any of my questions and even allowed us an early check in the day we arrived. We appreciate them opening their home to us and we can’t wait to come back another time. Just be careful of the ticks in the yard and make sure to check yourself for them daily. Pretty much all of us had them several times. Some were as tiny as a freckle.

Summary: a wonderful family stop off & completely accurate to a tee descriptions of available add ins.. If you are looking for off thhe beaten path this is your place & wonderfully close to a dog/family friendly Lobsterville beach (pass included) the less than desirable surprise were the ticks...Island is rife w Lonestar ticks, so beware.

Summary: Our family of 4 stayed at the cozy getaway and it was everything we wanted and more! Great amenities like the fire pit and outdoor shower. Very comfortable inside space and all the kitchen we needed for a few home cooked meals. The Silva’s were excellent and responsive hosts. I’d give it more than 5 stars if able!
