Summary: I had the best time at Martin's Guesthouse. I was in a "princess" room, very charming and comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. Everything was very clean and well tended. Most of all, Stephen was very welcoming and helpful,he gave me advice about sightseeing and the last day I could leave my bag at the guesthouse for the day until my flight. Also, it's an easy walk to the old city centre (under 20 minutes), to the Meadows and Holyrood parks...

Summary: Loved the room, location, and staff who checked me in. Adored the view from my room as well. I was at the very top of the stairs; be prepared to carry your luggage up many stairs.

Summary: We had to travel from the East Midlands up to Aberdeen for a funeral & stayed over in Edinburgh on the way up & coming back down. We couldn't have found a better place to stay. Everything is Covid-safe. We were able to order in a couple of takeaways in the evening & eat them in the dining room (there are plenty of good takeaways near by). Steven couldn't do enough for us and having a comfortable, relaxing port of call helped us through what would have been a very stressful few days. We were also able to stretch our legs in a nearby park on our last morning, having spent too many hours sat in the car, and saw a few of the sights before we left. Highly recommended.

Summary: Clean and nice, comfortable bed, very good breakfast selection. Host is very helpful and informative. Sink in bathroom is so small it is difficult not to spill water when using it. Residential location is about 1/2 hour walk to Royal Mile. There are frequent buses, stopping very close to Martin's, which go to Princes street.

Summary: We enjoyed our all to brief stay at Martin's Guesthouse. Excellent service, very good breakfast. Could choose between 6-7 alternatives, all freshly prepared. Nice room, the bathroom was perhaps a tad small, but fully functional.I would definitively try to get a room here the next time we are back in Edinburgh.
