Positive: This place was idyllic. The apartment is beautiful, very spacious and perfectly equipped. Situated in quiet and peaceful area, surrounded by a wonderful olive garden in which large fragrant jasmine also grows. This is ideal location to stay if you want to visit Balos, Falassarna and Chania. When we arrived, there were delicacies left by the hosts for us in the kitchen (fruit, wine, bread, homemade orange jam and many other things). We would like to thank Matilda and her parents for their hospitality and the opportunity to stay in their marvelous place. I hope we will come back someday.

Positive: Excellent location for a small group or couple to explore Western part of Crete such as Kissamos, Elaffonisi and the mountain up to Palaiochora providing lots of space in a quiet and pleasant environment. Apartment is big and well equipped offering everything you need.

Positive: Matilda's house was a truly wonderful place to stay at. I visited with my 3yo daughter and we really enjoyed our time. The house is very tastefully furnished and has everything you need, very thoughtful. The outside area also has a nice green garden with sunbeds, a hammock and a little swing for children which you do (or back then did not) see on the photos, so the place is even better than from what you see online. Placed in the middle of an olive grove, it is a very calm retreat to discover all the nice places in Western Crete. Matilda's parents, who live on the premises, would regularly bring us treats from the own garden or the surroundings, and were very lovely overall (and with my daughter), while still respecting our privacy. It really felt like home. For the two of us, we had LOTS of space, which was also very nice, but the place is ideal for families with up to 3 or 4 kids, or two couples, or 4(-5) good friends, I would say.
Negative: No negative for us, but: - Do not expect an urban setting (although there is a nice taverna still in walking distance), and you will probably want to have a car. - You should be ok with the cats visiting you (although not the inside of the house itself, just outside), particularly if you give them food, but my daughter obviously loved them.
