Positive: Spacious room. Very good location, with beach access, free airport shuttle, safe neighborhood. Parking with a fee of $15/night.
Negative: No portable door locks on the door, can clearly hear the sound in the corridor.

Positive: Small, simple motel room straight out of the 1980's. (This was one of the un-renovated rooms.) For half the price I might have given it more stars, but I guess everything is exorbitant in Maui. It had enough of the basics for a 1-night stay, but not more.
Negative: There is no closet, just a bar of hangers over the microwave (so clothes block access to it). Must keep the shades down, as there is no way to let in light without outsiders viewing directly into the room.

Positive: Location is great with the beach right out back I canโ€™t stress this enough if you have kids that want to play on the sand. The room was clean. Staff were great.
Negative: Not much. The rooms are small but that is to be expected as itโ€™s one of the older hotels on Maui. The beach has some garbage on it but I think thatโ€™s just beaches near cities.
Summary: Great option for short stays or if you want a home base while you travel around daily.

Positive: Great location near the airport. Unfortunately, their airport shuttle doesn't start until 6am and we needed to leave by 5:30am. Reasonable hotel price in that area. Fine for one or two nights. Our room, 102, was recently updated and was nice, including upgraded patio furniture, compared to the others we saw. Nice pool and right on a small beach. Attached restaurant gives 10% off when you show your key. Nice under counter sensor nightlight comes on as you walk toward the bathroom. Friendly, professional staff.
Negative: Room 102 is quite small with room only for one medium suitcase to be open at a time. Very limited storage for those staying long enough to unpack. Recent update includes a chair that is too large for the room and just in the way. No light switch near the door and switches on the bedsides are too high to reach from lounging in bed.
Summary: Fine for our last night in Maui and wanting to be near the airport for less than $300 a night.

Positive: The staff was friendly and accommodating. The remodeled rooms are VERY nice and comfortable. The patio, lawn, pool area is pleasant with gas fires lit at night to sit and relax. The ocean view and access is lovely with the beach very private.
Negative: It would be nice to have a bar to sit outside with a drink and a convenience mart to grab a soft drink or snack.
Summary: Affordable price, lovely staff, comfortable and pleasant stay.
