Stand alone studio accommodation in a bush setting with a sea-view. Mystic is an easy 15 minutes stroll or a short 3 minute drive to the very beautiful Medland Beach. Private and self contained, the Studio is 30 square metres plus the deck area. Book for a weekend or a weeks getaway, featuring a king bed, stovetop/oven and fridge/freezer, its ideal for self catering with a well equiped kitchen. Sit on the deck and enjoy the view, birds and bush or eat out at one of the cafes, restaurants around the Island. Parking at the studio and a short flight of steps to the accommodation.
Please note: there is no wifi at the studio and cell coverage for One NZ ( was Vodafone) can be intermittent and there is no 027 coverage. Games, cards and a selection of books and magazines are supplied for your entertainment. A 2 minute drive up the main road and you will have coverage for both networks should you require it.

Summary: The studio was lovely!Had solar panelling, modern interior and bathroom. For visiting the island, we recommend hiring a car. The studio is very close to Medlands beach, but we aren’t the fittest and we would have struggled getting there without the car.

Summary: The drive up through native bush with a spectacular display from clematis vines lead us to a warm, welcoming, modern and well fitted out and suppĺid studio overlooking Medland beach. Very peaceful, with kaka visits and starry skies.

Summary: This lovely studio was a great place to stay for a couple days getaway on the island. It feels very secluded and quiet up in the hills above the beautiful Medlands Beach, but very centrally located just a few minutes from the beach, hikes, and Claris airport/amenities. Also a short drive to Tryphena for additional restaurants, stores, and beaches. The studio was clean and well-appointed, with a whole wall of windows to enjoy the view out to the ocean. The shaded patio was a perfect spot to relax in peace for a break from beaching and hiking on a hot summer day, or stargazing at night. Robyn (the host) was very responsive and helpful. All in all a great stay and I would certainly stay here again if back on the island.

Summary: The location is great - up on a hill overlooking wetlands and the beach. Just lovely. Host was amazing - we were there during Cyclone Gabrielle and she kept us informed and checked on us from time to time to make sure all was OK. A great place to hit the tracks and the beautiful beach for swimming.
