Positive: The property overall is in an amazing location we walked to the beach every day with the dogs where they could run round. The grounds are really dog friendly huge field where they could enjoy themselves without issue. the house itself had so many rooms we never used the living room only use the conservatory/dinning room to relax in. I thought not having a tv would have been an issue but actually it was a blessing we had so many laughs playing the board games that are on the property.

Negative: the downstairs bedroom area needs a really good clean the bathroom stank of wee like if had not been cleaned. The mattress was unbelievably uncomfortable felt every spring really needs a new mattress. the bins only get emptied once every 3 weeks and when we arrived they were overflowing ( not the owners fault just annoying). Also there is a gate to the main road that doesn’t latch it was that windy it had been blown open, best to check with dogs as it goes onto the field.

Negative: We have just vacated our stay at Melin Rhos Farm and wanted to make you aware of a few issues at the property that we have found to be most disappointing. Firstly the dishwasher does not work and is flashing the error message E4. Secondly there is at least one ring on the gas cooker that does not work and the oven door does not shut properly. Thirdly there is an accumulation of rubbish in the outside bins which has clear evidence of visiting rodents. Fourthly the property could do with a deep clean, we live in an old farm house in the country, we understand the challenges but the cleaning standards for this property are unacceptable for paying customers. We welcome acknowledgment of this review and wish to ensure that these issues are rectified for the next paying customer.

Positive: Loved look, size, location and grounds.

Negative: It’s in desperate need of a deep clean, damp/mould addressing and some TLC. The owners were also unresponsive to messages. I also made a special request which was approved for my GFs birthday which was approved but there was nothing supplied 🤷‍♂️

Positive: The downstairs bedroom and wet room were poor. The wet room smelt musty The steps going upstairs were steep especially at the top. BUT the biggest concern was the step going from the sitting room into the conservatory- all grey slate and no markings. Very dangerous and I fell/ stumbled twice. In other areas there were the safety strips so definitely need to be placed here

Negative: See above Liked the large outside area and all the kitchen utensils - short of nothing.

Positive: Homely, cosy farmhouse in perfect location. So quiet with beautiful gardens. 3 generations and dog loved it. Had everything we needed and had the best nights sleep. Just didn’t stay long enough. Will be returning.

Positive: Proximity to the beach was great. The gardens around the property were very spacious and ideal for our grandchildren to run and play to their hearts' delight. The upstairs bedrooms and their beds were comfortable and fresh. The kitchen was well stocked and lacked nothing that we needed. The showers in both bathrooms were very good and easy to use. The wine, milk and Welshcakes that were left for us were a nice touch and were appreciated. Plenty of parking. And excellent WiFi.

Negative: The downstairs bedroom and utility room in the single storey part of the house smelled a little musty and the bedding felt slightly damp even though the weather that weekend was glorious. I'd consider asking guests to enter the property for the first time through a door other than the Utility Room as it's not a good first impression. The downstairs bedroom didn't have a wardrobe and using coat hooks for our clothes was not ideal. My wife would also have found a mirror useful in the wetroom. The path borders and gravel driveway would have benefited from some maintenance although this didn't spoil our enjoyment of the outside spaces.
