Negative: Car parking under renovation, not advised at time of booking Only option to use the carpark at a neighboring hotel involving boom gates and messing around with validating tickets, on four occasions this didn't work leading to delays getting out. For any regular visitor who knows the safety issues in Darwin, you don't want to be walking anywhere you don't need to. The other ridiculous option was to pay $20 per day over and above an expensive room rate for access to the few car parking spots at the Mercure. Walkway lights at accommodation block on overnight which meant our room was always floodlit. Hotel advertises black out curtains, they are not. Overpriced bland soul-less rooms with no decoration.

Positive: The facilities are amazing. The staff were outstanding. The transport to the airport terminal was quick and friendly. The reception staff were professional and courteous. The room was comfortable.

Negative: Only two things I can recommend is having bottled waters in the fridge as we have no water and also a heated pool in the pool.

Positive: The property was clean and the pool area was excellent, I had the pool villa which was great , it felt very private clean and tidy . We had pizza from room service menu and tried all the desserts which were fabulous, the pizza could have been in oven bit longer however still nice. The next day went and had brunch in the main restaurant, lovely setup and the sandwiches were so good. I live in Darwin was a quick staycation to celebrate birthday, will go back again in the future. .
Negative: My only concern was that for the pricing of the room , that water even a bottle would have been in fridge upon arrival, it is the tropics after all and standard for most places. For visitors coming to Darwin I feel it is needed . Customer service at reception was good , There was a gentleman at the restaurant/ bar who was great, however the trainee behind bar needs further help with customer service skills , we were asked to leave pool area as it closed at seven which I was unaware of quite rudley, I suggest he works on other alternatives, ie suggest we may like to sit at bar or order drinks in room.
