Exquisitely and professionally decorated by HGTV Design Star, Rachel Kate, the property captures the essence of elegant, yet relaxed coastal design, giving you beach living at its finest. Reflecting abundant natural light and showcasing Gulf views from almost every room, Mermaid’s Lair features gorgeous beach views from two large verandas and covered terrace just off the main living space and master suite, bringing the coastal air indoors, and offering plenty of options to unwind and rejuvenate. The sparkling private pool and generous pool deck allows for hours of relaxation or play time under the protected covered patio or sunning out in the open salt air. All just steps away from the sensational beach and Gulf waters. The house comes well-equipped with many complementary amenities for guests to enjoy during their stay such as bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, pool toys, etc. Built in 2014, this three-story, elevator-equipped, beach house features seaside vacationing at its finest! Offering professional gourmet kitchen with upgraded appliances including large wine fridge to cook and entertain.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Main living floor offers 2 queen en-suites with a shared terrace. The top floor offers an amazing King Master Suite with a luxurious bath, walk in closet and private reading and TV area, as well as an over sized Gulf Front Veranda. On the other side of the upstairs there is another King room as well as a kid’s room. These two rooms share a full bath. The kid’s room has a bunk bed w/ trundle, including 1 twin, 1 full and a full trundle, all together the kid’s room will sleep up to 5.
All in all, the home will sleep 12 and along with the optional blow up queen mattress.
For your added convenience, one of the 5 full baths is located near the pool and the property includes an elevator for easy access to all floors. Additionally, the house is within walking distance to plenty of great restaurants, pizza parlors, ice cream shops and surf shops as well as several parks and playgrounds to delight all ages. For those that want to venture further, Clearwater Beach and John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk (Madeira Beach) are each a short drive away (about 20 mins each), and Busch Gardens/Tampa are both just under an hour. At the Mermaid’s Lair, you are sure to have the vacation of a lifetime and make many lasting memories, beckoning you to return again and again.
*The fireplace in the Master Suite is not available for use.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Checkin was the fastest I have ever experienced. The house was beautiful, clean and exactly as described. We had 12 people in our party and there was plenty of room to spread out and have some time to yourself if needed. The house was literally on the beach! The pictures make it look like a little bit of a walk, but it was steps to the sand. If there was anything I could say negative, it would be that the master bath could use a makeover, but just minor. The week was great and we would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Completely as advertised. Property is gorgeous and steps from the gulf. We appreciated the impeccable cleanliness and ample space in the entire home. All beds were extremely comfortable, and loved the en suite bathrooms in 3 of the bedrooms. Plenty of dishes and utensils, as well as a wine/beer fridge separate from the main refrigerator. Ocean views from master as well as 2nd floor main living space. Pool and hottub were spotless. Many restaurants within walking distance, including a coffee shop across the street. Plenty of bikes and pool toys as well. Property mgmt office across the street provided friendly & extremely easy check-in. We will definitely look to rent here again, and hopefully will catch better weather next time, which was our only complaint. One note: remember to bring cone filters for coffee pot...plenty of basket filters left from other guests, including ourselves :)

Summary: We had a great time at Mermaid's Lair. Everything we needed was under one roof: great kitchen, beds were comfortable, heated pool and hot tub. Sunny areas, shady areas and the beach was beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful and we wanted for nothing at the house. We would stay again!

Pool outside the door. We have 6 adults (3 couples) and 4 children under 6. There’s plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. Plenty of space to cook in or out. Fully stocked home

Reviewer Comments: We love Mermaid's Lair which is perfect for a multi-generational family trip. It is a bonus to have beach chairs and toys provided with the house. The kitchen is well stocked and we ate in every night, enjoying the amazing sunsets and views from the house. Being July, it was very hot so the pool was very welcome and being right on the beach meant we could set up on the beach early in the morning and go back to the house for the air conditioning later in the day, before returning to the beach mid afternoon. Our only suggestion is to close up the fabric concertina door between the king room and the bunkroom for more privacy.Seaside Property Shoppe were quick to address one or two issues that came up during our stay. We have reserved our week for 2025 already! This house will not disappoint!
