Summary: A no frills hostel which has converted what looks like second floor offices with track lighting into hostel rooms. There is nobody from the hostel on prem, only a ghost staff you can email or call. You are required to upload a copy of your drivers license before check in. There is a shared kitchen and a shared bathroom, the mens room didn’t have toilet paper for the whole time I was there (gross). I emailed the ghost staff to let them know about this but was ignored. There are also what seem to be migrant families living in some of the rooms with their belongings left in the hallway. Speaking of the hallway, there is a very strong air freshener like smell throughout the hallway and the rooms. Be aware if you are sensitive to things like this. Location is great, close to the Brown and RISD campuses. I’m glad I only had to stay in Providence for one night.

Summary: This is not a conventional hostel, but rather a boarding house with no on-site staff. You'll receive an email prior to "check in" that gives you the door code and your room code and then you are on your own. One thing to be aware of is that the bathrooms are less secure and private than a typical hostel situation. There's no lockable stall for the showers, so anyone could pop in you. As well, the shower doors were clear glass and only one shower had a curtain to hide you from view while you were showering. I'm very accustomed to shared bathrooms in hostels and feel comfortable in them, but this lacked the security and privacy of a typical hostel bathroom. As well, since there's no on site staff, I don't know what you would do if something creepy/weird did happen? You can't beat the price, but I think there are some significant safety concerns around the shared bathrooms

Summary: I was here for a Saturday night, and there was lots of loud activity outside, including racing cars, until about 1:00.After that it was quiet. Location is very convenient for exploring Brown’s campus, and there are many restaurants nearby. It’s challenging to find the place, since address numbers are scarce. I really appreciated being able to check in early! Thanks! I never saw a person who worked here.

Summary: It was my first time staying in hostel. I loved it. Make sure you register before check in. This is the only way to get number to enter the building and room. There is no service desk or human. It is kind of hard to find without an email from hostel and directions. Room is huge and clean. Washroom and kitchen are clean. There are no spoons or knives. Bring your own

Summary: I have stayed at hostels and budget locations around the world and found this location in need of some attention. For those looking for a hotel experience, this is not the location for you. This is perfect for those on a budget. It is located in the heart of Brown University with plenty of food options. The street life can be a bit loud with cars revving their engines from 6 PM - 1 AM. The smell of the vape shop/hookah lounge below adds an extra flavor. I had no issues with these things - it was more the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms and room. When I arrived the bathrooms were a mess and my room looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. I did call the manager about the state of the bathrooms and they had their cleaning team clean them the next morning. So that was a good sign. It would be great in the future if their cleaning team put a bit more effort into prepping the rooms. FYI - bring your own soap and shampoo since none is provided.

Summary: The hostel was not very clean. There was no soap in the bathroom or kitchen and the hand dryer did not work. One of the showers did not have a curtain. The room was okay, but very hot and the street outside was noisy at all hours of the night. The bed was comfortable and the tv with access to Netflix was a nice amenity, but the room was a little run down. There was a child living in the hostel who would run up and down the hallways and make noise. At one point he would not stop hitting my door. Would not recommend this place unless you need a cheap place to stay for a night and plan to be out of your room as much as possible.
