Summary: Wonderful sized large room. Very comfortable large bed. Loved the solid wood wardrobes. The bathroom was large bath and shower. Hand cream and body wash device ne smell. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and extremely efficient. Breakfast was excellent quality and range of choices. Would definitely choose this hotel again. So handy to walk to the centre and the races. Car free for the weekend loved it.

Summary: The accommodation provided was significantly below the standard represented in the photographs displayed online and did not reflect the quality I reasonably expected based on the price I paid. The room and facilities differed materially from the images used to market the property, resulting in a disappointing and misleading experience. The room was not the cleanest either with dust over the walls and lampshade. The food at the bar was ok however I would not recommend to get the fish and chips as it was so salty that was not edible. Following a discussion with the hotel manager, I was informed that this discrepancy arose because I made my reservation through a comparison website rather than booking directly with the hotel. I find this explanation unacceptable. Regardless of the booking channel used, the accommodation provided should correspond to the description and images presented at the time of booking. Customers should not receive an inferior room or experience simply because they booked through a third-party platform, particularly where this was neither disclosed nor made clear before payment. The expectation created by the online listing formed an integral part of my decision to book and of the price I agreed to pay. Had I been aware that the room allocated would not match the advertised standard, I would have reconsidered my booking.

Summary: The hotel is really well situated for easy walking access to York City Centre A beautiful hotel and very reasonably priced Staff were very friendly and the room was a decent size considering it was classed as a comfy double All in all a very lovely place and we will definitely return

Summary: I'm a regular stayer at Middletons. It is great for a business overnight. Parking is on-site and it is very convenient for the city centre. Rooms are lovely as are staff. It always has a nice relaxed cosy vibe.
