Positive: I had a wonderful stay at the Midland Motel in their King Room, which offers stunning waterfront views. The room is spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with a kitchen and a private bathroom—perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Situated on the ground floor, it’s easily accessible and arguably the best room in the motel. The facilities are top-notch, and waking up to the serene river view was a highlight. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient stay!

Positive: Great location on the Manning River. The owner shared his recommendations of places to eat, which were within walking distance.
Negative: Unfortunately, our stay at Midlands motel was far from pleasant. While the room itself appeared to be clean at first glance, it quickly became clear that attention to detail was lacking. There was hair in the shower, and we found pubic hair in the bed sheets, which was extremely off-putting. The mirrors and glass surfaces were heavily streaked, making it clear they hadn’t been properly cleaned. To top it off, the sponge left for washing dishes was dirty, which made me question the overall cleanliness. Some of the other guests were undesirable and contributed to an uncomfortable environment that felt unsafe and chaotic, making it hard to relax or even sleep with ongoing noise throughout the night. The door is a simple push button lock, that would open with a shoulder nudge, we placed our esky and a chair up against the door as we felt unsafe . I would not recommend this motel unless they seriously improve their housekeeping, guest management, and overall safety. There are definitely better options for the price. We won't be back.

Positive: Les at front desk was great.He recommended a great restaurant only 5 mins walk which was great. Great food and staff there were also lovely We booked a family room and then we ended up having a family area with dividing doors and two separate tv s. We had a fab view of river. Slept like logs and no noise issues.
Negative: Bathroom was a bit old but very clean. Lovely toiletries
