After a busy day exploring the harbor's restaurants, boutiques and galleries; settle in and enjoy the fresh ocean air from our single level open concept retreat. The king bed, leather couch, fully equipped kitchen and cozy deck await your memories.
A sofa pulls out to a second king bed for friends or family. Enjoy a glass of wine under the retractable awning or pull the noise cancelling shades to take a nap in the air conditioning. A midnight stroll on the boardwalk is moments away!
The home is a single level with the exception of one stair to access the kitchen.
There is one bathroom with a shower, no tub is available. We have a stackable washer and dryer for your use in the house. There are two smart Fire televisions that you can use with your own apps.
There is free street parking and a private lot directly behind the house. Park your car and walk to the boardwalk and all harbor activities. Catch the trolley to explore other areas of the harbor. Drive to the Botanical Gardens or explore neighboring towns and beaches.
We love to meet our guests and go over the house, but we also respect your wanting to unplug and start your vacation. Mighty Oak is a self check in but we are always available to answer questions or give suggestions. We are just a few miles away so you choose, if you would like to meet us or simply prefer to text or chat.
Mighty Oak is located in the center of town, walking distance to many attractions. on the other side of the deck, our neighboring businesses include a juice bar. When you have exhausted all of the activities within walking distance, there are many more things to see a short drive away. Let us know what interest you and we will be sure to point you in the right direction.
When you are ready to explore Boothbay Harbor, the Trolley is a great option. It makes many stops at different stores and is a great way to simply see the entire harbor before you decide where you want to stop first.
If you prefer driving, parking can be challenging. Allow yourself time and wear your comfy walking shoes. Plan a day to visit the area around Boothbay Harbor. There are many boutiques and eateries in neighboring towns to enjoy.

Summary: Our two night stay at the Mighty Red Oak was exactly the late fall getaway my husband and I needed. The parking is near the property, abundant, and well lit at night. The shopping area of Boothbay Harbor is a quick walk or ride down the hill to many boutiques, the waterfront, restaurants, and, to our surprise, a gingerbread house competition in the Opera House! This property may not be the right fit for you if you need accessibility. The parking is a one and a half story stair climb to the front door. The entryway on the other side has a six inch step up to the front door. The kitchen area is a four-inch step up, and the wall dividing off the main bedroom and the bathroom would be inaccessible for a wheelchair. Ultimately, I think the majority of people will appreciate the multiple climate control areas in this apartment. We were able to cook dinner and breakfast in the open kitchen. We enjoyed lounging on the sofa together under the provided cozy fleece blankets. This may have been our first stay, but will not be our last!

Summary: Everything you need, nothing you don't. Located within walking distance of Boothbay Harbor downtown. We did a lot of day tripping to other coastal towns. This is our second year at this location. Great time.

Summary: The house met its description and was generally clean and comfortable with one big exception - it seems like it had been a while since the last guests had stay there since we were greeted at check-in with a vase of dead, moldy flowers on the kitchen counter and spiders in almost every corner of the house. My kids freaked out about the spiders, so I made a trip to a local store and bought some Raid, then went on an epic spider-slaying quest and counted 18 victories before the kids would even consider stepping back inside. My only other complaint is that the front door is not straightforward to lock. When inside the house it is hard to know if the electronic lock is actually engaged, and the deadbolt is purely decorative. On our second day, we had an unexpected visitor who claimed they had a reservation. Whether they had a working code or just waltzed in because the door wasn't locked properly remains a mystery. All that being said, we were generally comfortable once all the spiders were killed, and the location is excellent and very close to all that Boothbay Harbor offers.

Summary: This little place had everything we needed. It was a five minute walk to downtown Boothbay. A great place, located well for day trips along the coast.

Summary: We had a great time in boothbay harbor and loved staying at this place. It was in a perfect location, the size was perfect, and the place had everything we needed and then some. The coffee maker made iced coffee, there was filtered water, and even puzzles to do while we were there. It was hard to leave and we made the best memories in boothbay.

Summary: The unit was very clean and comfortable. We especially liked how close it was to the harbor, shops and dining. One day of our stay was rainy and we were able to enjoy our spacious accommodation as we passed the time reading and catching up on shows.

Summary: About as close as you can get to downtown without being on main street. Very clean and well appointed. Suggestions: the scented trash bags gave spouse a headache. Cushions would have been nice for that beautiful outdoor patio/awning.
