Positive: Very warm welcome from lovely host, Elsa, to her wonderful home. The room I stayed in was cosy, confortable and welcoming. I also very much enjoyed the surprise breakfast of freshly home-baked bread and fresh coffee in the morning! My favourite place to stay on my road trip around Iceland - I just wish I could have stayed longer! (Next time I will!)

Positive: The host is a very kind and caring person. Our cottage was very nice and clean like the kitchen and shower rooms as well. Our host even bakes fresh bread for every breakfast. We had a very lovely time and felt right at home in this beautiful surrounding!

Positive: 1. The host lady and gentleman were very nice. The lady showed us around the facilities and baked delicious bread for breakfast in the morning. 2. The bedroom was very clean and nicely decorated. Very homely and cozy. The bathrooms were both very clean and smelled wonderful. Because I used the shower very late, there was no need to wait for others. The kitchen had very full amenities, which we admittedly didn't utilize too much except for the water boiler and plates/bowls. 3. Mjoanes was just 10 10-minute drive from Hengifoss and 15 15-minute drive from Egilsstadir, so we didn't feel too tired going to pick up pizza for dinner. 4. The grounds are very beautiful, and we had a wonderful sunlit evening. There is ample parking for guests. 5. They let you check in until pretty late (10 PM or later even) if necessary.

Negative: I think the Wi-Fi wasn't very strong? (which wasn't that big of an issue) and there was a little spider with me in the shower, but that's just a personal ick.

Positive: The host was super nice and friendly, she made a home made bread for breakfast! There are also 2 super friendly dogs and surrounding with beautiful views. Felt like staying in icelandic home for a night.

Positive: Loved this place and our host. Added bonus of a sauna and a hottub and some delicious homemade icelandic bread. Perfect stop over when travelling the ring road and only 5 minutes from the majestic Hengifoss. I do hope life brings us this way again.
