Positive: Tastefully decorated rooms with all the facilities you could need. Beautiful luscious garden where they grow crops and has a great view of Kilimanjaro! Lots of space to sit, read, eat, and work outside (covered and uncovered).

Positive: It's hard to put into words everything I loved about Mkoani. It became my home away from home when I came to Moshi to study at one of the local hospitals, KCMC. I stayed for over a month and there was something so special about the place. They treated me like a princess, making that lovely breakfast every day, greeting me with a smile and a "karibu" whenever I came home, rose petals on my bed. But at the same time they felt like family. Dee is absolutely wonderful and so beloved around Moshi, you can tell that by her wonderful, hand-picked staff and the whole ambiance of the place. Dee also ran my friends and I (staying in the local area for work, too) an incredible paint class with a delicious meal around the bonfire on one of my last nights, even just that one evening at Mkoani made them wish they'd stayed there the whole time!
Negative: Wish I didn't have to go home!
Summary: Just perfect. So incredibly grateful to have met Dee and have been so welcomed and taken care of.

Positive: The manager is absolutely lovely – incredibly attentive, kind, and always available if you need anything. The ladies in the kitchen are amazing cooks; every meal was divine! Breakfasts were truly royal, and the home-cooked dishes were authentic and consistently delicious – honestly better than in restaurants. The rooms are stunning, with rose petals welcoming you on arrival, very comfortable beds, and all equipped with mosquito nets and fans. The garden is beautiful, full of peaceful spots to relax and enjoy a good book – a true little paradise.

Positive: A perfect stay – even better than before! This was my second time staying at this homestay, and the experience was even better than the first! The owner has made lots of improvements, and the place is now more comfortable and welcoming than ever. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast is delicious, and the dinner is just as amazing – truly a treat! The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. She can arrange anything you need, from spa appointments and safaris to day trips and more. I 100% recommend this place – a real gem that you’ll want to come back to!
