Positive: My family and I (3 pax) absolutely loved this hotel apartment. We stayed in the Superior Family Room, and it had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer, an induction stove, a microwave, an oven, various pots and pans, an iron, and, most importantly, it was relatively more spacious than other hotel options. The hotel apartment has a lift, which makes it convenient to bring our luggage up and down from our room to the ground floor. The location is also amazing, with a nearby 7-Eleven and drugstore within 150 meters from the hotel. The hotel had 4 train stations nearby (5 to 10 mins walk), which easily allowed us to travel to places like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Akihabara, Asakusa, etc. within less than 40 mins. Moreover, as this hotel apartment is located in Ueno, we were able to easily access Ameyoko street (which is amazing for souvenir shopping and street food) as well as Ueno Park (which had many attractions such as the Shinobazu Pond and various Museums) just by walking. The neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is peaceful, quiet, and generally safe to walk in, even at night! A bonus point is that the hotel is within walking distance of Keisei Skyliner Ueno Station, which directly connects you to Narita Airport Terminal 1 and 2 (hence, you do not need to book a taxi to reach the airport). Would definitely love to stay here again if the opportunity comes by :)
Negative: Although there is a washer and dryer, laundry detergent is provided at the front desk in small sachets. So, do remember to bring your own detergent if you require more!. While the hotel apartment is within walking distance of many attractions/train stations, the hotel is not exactly the nearest to some attractions and the major Ueno Station (Yamanote line) in particular. Do expect quite a bit of walking. Despite that, stations such as Shin-Okachimachi Station (Oedo line), Inaricho Station (Ginza line), and Okachimachi Station (Hibiya line) can bring you to places like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, Asakusa, and others. What's even better is that these lines tend to be less crowded than the major Yamanote line (at Ueno Station) and bring you to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, etc, within a shorter period of time than if you were to take the major Yamanote line from Ueno Station.

Positive: Location: close to public transport. Ueno area - shops, restaurants, park - in walking distance. Front desk staff very friendly & helpful. Tried their best to assist with the washer/dryer issues we had.
Negative: Cleaning could be improved. found snacks leftovers behind sofas mattresses. Very tight space left to move around and we did not have large size luggage. We were relying on the washer/dryer in the room to wash and dry cloths (family of 5 in a very hot & humid season...). Dryer had issues and could not dry our cloths. Staff tried to help but couldn't. Offered to use a machine in another vacant room. unfortunately we did not have the time for that.
Summary: Good location and helpful staff. Facilities can be improved.

Positive: Room is a good fit 4 adults and is big by Japan standards with a window you can actually see a city view from (L9). Very clean and comfortable. Great location, a quiet neighbourhood with a 7 Eleven and a Pharmacy just around the corner and a good supermarket (PB FARM Satake) 10 mins walk. Lots of places to eat and shop near Ueno station. A few different train lines within about 10 mins easy walk of this apartment. Note for Ueno station and Keisei Skyliner train (Ueno to Narita airport terminals), allow 15 mins walk time if you have luggage. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They even allowed us to store our luggage on the day of departure so we could sightsee and come back and collect the bags and go. Much appreciated!
