Positive: Great hosts - everything we needed was prepared and explained well and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The location was great and the whole place was clean and well decorated. If you owned and lived in the property and cared about your surroundings, you'd probably have it just the way it is. We hope to return again in the near future.

Positive: The location was peaceful and away from it all. Local walks and not far from fells, lakes and beaches, what more could you want! If you fancy some shopping the towns are only 6 miles or so away. You will not be disappointed with your stay, as you arrive at the entrance gate you will have the wow factor. Monkwood cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, it is spacious and equipped with everything that you would need for your stay. The owners have gone above and beyond to make the cottage perfect in every way. I’m sure that anyone booking Monkwood cottage will love and respect it as much as we did.

Owners have taken really good care of the property and thought of every little thing a family would need for the ideal holiday. Thoughtful care package on arrival and owners checked we were ok considering the snowy conditions which was appreciated! would highly recommend !

Positive: Monkwood Cottage is beautiful place to stay with family, it has everything what you can look for holiday home. Surrounded by lovely private river, amazing scenery, a lovely garden. Definitely a place to relax, it was a pleasure for us to be a guests in this cottage. There is a lot of places to visit with short distance to drive. Owners look after property very well with touch of love and you can feel comfortable and warm in the cottage.
