Positive: This is a beautiful family run hotel, where all the stuff is lovely, sweet and they really made us feel welcome and they accommodated all our needs. The way that they handle conversations is never transactional and always genuine and caring! From the balcony you have a beautiful view over Chania. As well it sits in a very prime location for traveling. The airport is a 10 minutes drive and at 10 minutes drive you have the parking spot for visiting Chania Old Town. We couldn’t have picked up a better hotel for the night before traveling back home.

Negative: We had a great experience and we’ll use this hotel again if visiting Crete again!

Positive: Perfect location-easy to find from the airport with a stunning view over the sea. 24 hour reception staffed by a real, friendly person even though we arrived late. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with great bathroom and balcony. Car park on site.

Positive: The Monte Vardia is a very special place, very calming and the family that run it provided the most generous and attentive hospitality to me. Incredible views out over the sea from the terrace on the upper floor, and the garden gets beautiful evening light which make it a great place to sit for a golden hour drink. Positive: I can’t begin to tell you how amazing Monte Vardia is! From the moment we arrived, we both knew that we were at home! I have travelled a lot around the world and this was one of the cleanest, friendliest and some of the most incredible hospitality you could ever receive at a hotel. The breakfast is to die for and is incredibly fresh, with amazing home style cooking. Monte Vardia is the perfect base after exploring all the amazing beaches that Chania has to offer and is only a 5/10 minute drive down to old town. Positive: This hotel is a little gem we stayed 7 nights the sisters that run the hotel are brilliant they pamper to your every need. The breakfast was really good everything you could ever want if it's not there they will get it. The room was cleaned every day they gave us towels for the beach and changed them when needed. The room was quiet at night with the patio doors shut but if you like the doors open then it could be a problem as the hotel is next to the airport road and main road to chania.we had cool evenings at the end of September so not a problem.

Negative: Only had a small bathroom but functional.

Summary: We loved our stay with no hesitation to return.
