Summary: We very much enjoyed our stay during in late July and early August 2017 with 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The house is fully equipped. The owners were very kind and helpful in providing information on the house and activities in the environment. The house is situated on the central square of Montemarcello. Although there is no garden, we could sit next tot the house at the square, which provided a lovely view on the idyllic square itself and, at the same time, on the sea with the island of Palmaria. Punta Corvo is a wonderful beach, which can be reached either by boat or by a 20-minute walk down-hill from Montemarcello through a forest on a marked path. We visited some of the other villages in this area, such as Lerici and Tellaro, but we appreciated that Montemarcello was much less touristic and authentic.

Summary: We are a family of eight, seven of us spent a week in this lovely town, in this beautiful house situated in the 'city' of Montemarcello. If you need a peaceful, quiet place, come here. The house is situated in three levels, looking to the place, you can see the see, the church, the children playing outside like in their own garden. We became immediately part of this community. On Sunday we participated to the exalting feast of St Peter and Paul, we admired the work of several artists gathered here on the place to paint the beauties of this town. The house is really romantic. We bought our everyday food (milk, bread, fruits, etc...) from the shop situated one minute walk from our house. The closest beach is Punta Corvo, can be reached by walk through the forest, but one should be prepared to a difference of level of more than 300 m with its consequences: at the end of the day one should climb up. It worth the fatigue, the bay is exquisite. I would recommend for those who prefer the nature over the civilization and can make a sacrifice for something beautiful. It can be reached by boat too, we have seen people arriving on a small boat cca. every second hour. The strength of mobile telephone network is variable in the town, you should find the proper place for good connection. I would recommend from heart this place to everyone! László

Summary: "The house in Montemarcello is beautiful, we loved being there, the village, the people, the see, the hills are very nice as well. There are many possibilities for excursions in the region, but the small village offers programmes as well (open-air theatre, concerts). The view from the house is very-very nice, you can see the main square, but the see as well. The house has a good athmosphere, it is old, but comfortable (although you have to circulate in three floors...), it is well equipped. The only difficulty is: as the owner is living far from Montemarcello you have to arrive not very late in the evening to get the key from a (kind and helpful) woman...."
