Positive: Staff very helpful next to the beach and many shops near by .Rented a bike from the hotel very easy .
Negative: No staff at desk when leaving the hotel to give the key or even a thank you and goodbye ., showers where cold all the time and roof was dirty .

Positive: The Staff were so friendly & helpful & were at work all day so you could choose when you wanted your chalet cleaned. The linen & towels were changed every day & 2 new bottles of water put into the fridge. The position was fantastic with great views from the hotel restaurant & a short walk to the main swimming beach. The Main Road with lots of restaurants, shops, markets, sports pubs & street food was 50 metres away. The breakfast was good value with a variety of options & different dishes every day.
Negative: It would be nice to have proper coffee sachets in the room. Someone should check that the TV is working before the guests arrive.
Summary: Can't wait to come back.

Positive: The location is amazing and we loved being right at the beach and being able to walk straight from the pool to the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We were a group in different rooms and all rated the experience very highly.
Negative: The decor in the rooms is a bit dated but we knew that when we booked and it wasn’t an issue.
Summary: Excellent stay. Friendly staff and location outstanding. Would highly recommend

Positive: A hidden gem. A very well priced hotel that has a great location. It’s central for easy access to the village as well as a great swimming beach. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
Negative: Not much - sometimes the nighttime noise can be disturbing depending on your room location. The other thing to get used to is that you cannot flush toilet paper (but this is an island thing, not just the hotel).
Summary: Montein House is a hidden gem. I would happily choose to stay there again.

Positive: Got upgraded to the garden which was very nice of the staff! Lovely area, great restaurant and pool area, on the beach and located in a good location! Staff were excellent and is a perfect place to chill in Koh Samui!
