This 4 bedroom home is ideal for a family getaway. It has ocean views and is only a minutes walk to beach. There is a new kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. It has a large open plan living and dining area, with air conditioner and ceiling or pedestal fans in each room, big bright bathroom with bath. There is a 2nd toilet & shower downstairs. Deck with outdoor seating, table tennis, Large TV, video, DVD, stereo/cd, gas BBQ, reverse-cycle air conditioning, fenced yard.
Sleeps 8- 3 Queen beds, 2 King singles.
A $700 security deposit is required on each booking and held against your current credit card.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Accommodation staff very good. Premises unfortunately in poor condition with sloping floors on the perimeter due to conversion of old verandah into the building. Would not recommend this property to anyone as I'm sure there are others much better. We also occupied Parkview - 1/1 Surfview Ave. which was fabulous.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Moondoggie for a week. It is in a great spot, close to the beach, and was spacious enough for the whole family. Unfortunately it was an extremely hot week and the fans in the bedrooms couldn’t make the rooms comfortable at night. The lounge room air conditioner was helpful during the day. It was mostly clean and comfortable, although the dishes were dirty when we arrived because the dishwasher is not very efficient. There was no washing powder and all the cleaning products were ancient and empty. But the rental company were very responsive and helpful.

One light/fan not working in lounge; one bedside lamp not working & bare wiring exposed at entry point to fitting (we left it on games cupboard - please remove for safety); back door knob won’t lock, so keyed lock needs to be used at all times - would make emergency evacuation problematic (we left the key in lock during our stay, but others may not realise this risk). West-facing bedrooms VERY hot! External awnings or planting of tall shrubs would help a lot! (Aircon in living area is good, but takes effort to circulate cooled air to these bedrooms ie using fans.)

Summary: Really enjoyed the location with views to the beach from the kitchen and deck. The house was comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. However, we had some issues with ants and cockroaches in the kitchen which spoilt the experience somewhat. The TV in the main living area did not work. Also the ceilings showed signs of mould in some areas. Another disappointment was that there was little evidence of the advertised full renovations. The whole place could do with an update.
